Top notch build there cammy! Loving it
Hi I'm always looking for the next big hole in my pocket and this might be it,, Having done phase cooling before the biggest problem I had with it was the amount of heat coming out of the phase unit and heating the room up big time.
So wondering what amount of heat does the water chilling unit pump out into the air.
My current setup is pumping lots of warm air into the room and is just to hot, so looking to do something different.
Sorry for the long post.
Regards,
Martin
Are they easy to source and what sort of price would I be looking at for one?
How is best to set it up? I was wondering about the condensation point which would be a big concern but it seems like your not having any issues with it?
Do you think it would be able to handle two loops or would that be not possible?
Its definitely been something I was interested in looking at and trying...
I must admit I didnt think about doing it until seeing the temps for the overclocking that I have managed but I'm sure interested in doing something, maybe as a test to start with if I can find something cheap enough.
If it could handle two loops then the CPU and GPU's would be very comfortable cooling it? At the moment I would be considering a i7 @ 4.4Ghz (at least) and three 3Gb 580 GTX's..
I do have double 21's as you mentioned so do you think it would be possible to get everything cooled to a decent level with little noise?
With a chiller there is no point whatsoever keeping any rads. You have the capability to cool the fluid down over the southbridge and MOSFET blocks way lower, I know you have just bought them and it possibly feels like your wasting money with the rad but you will get far better results without itWell I have a water block on the motherboard, so I could use leave the triple rad that's cooling it on its own, so there might be enough air flow to keep the air moving over it. I could hide it under the desk but just depends on what it would sounds like running.
At the moment I have a quad rad for both rigs for CPU and GPU. The triples just work for the motherboard cooling.
As for noise at the moment its really not bad, even with the fans set to around 70% to 80% its really not that noisy. If I had the GPU's under water as well, I expect it would make things a bit quieter...
Really nice build mate, wish i could afford a water chiller.
