A statement on a Britain First Facebook site recording the action said: “This is the first of many such operations that are due to be launched across Yorkshire against Islam. The Yorkshire brigade is finally here and has "blooded" itself in the most heavily Muslim town in Yorkshire.”

Sounds just like 'lets sit down and have a cup of tea and discuss this' don't it?

I blame only one thing for this type of aggression - The media. Only when they whip up hysteria like they have done in this case about non-story halal food do numpties like this think they can justify what they do.

No it was minority pressure groups like Tell Mama who started the "Hysteria" which was here before Halal. Anything even remotely challanging to Islam was branded racist and the people behind it had thier faces all over blogs and the papers.

The problem is now they can't let go of PC. I mean ten people handed out bible leaflets outside Mosques and suddenly OMG Fascists!! It is pathetic because people now think Mosques and Muslims are off limits and they will become a little protected minority who can get away with murder.

It's probably a bit more complicated than just 'the media' though I do think intimidating people at a place of worship is out of order and think these bigot groups do set back any sensible debate. I do however think that there are issues with some aspects of Islam in the UK and areas where some followers have values a bit too far out of step. Yes there are nasty bigot groups out there but there are also genuine sources of friction - it's not just people using Islam as an excuse to have a pop at Asian people in general, even these bigot groups don't seem to have an issue with Sikhs and Hindu communities.

What's it got to do with churches? The muppets that did it have probably never set foot in a church in their lives.

It would be more akin to muslims invading pubs and social clubs.

It was more a "stand outside and hand out leaflets" than an invasion. I am more inclined to believe them than Galloway who has a bit of a history of exaggeration and attention whoring.

Confronted worshippers and accused them of grooming girls in middle of worship in a hostile manner, whilst having a camcorder pointed at them. Obviously looking for a reaction. Handed out bibles and leaflets to worshippers in the Mosque. Explored the Mosque with their shoes on (Muslims take their shoes off in the Mosque) trampling areas of worship usually keep clean for prayer and pretty much intimidated a bunch of elderly folk. Did the same at two other Mosques after leaving this one.

Not to mention their own material "invades mega Mosque"

Would be the equivalent of 10 fundamentalist Muslims storming churches, accusing Christian worshippers of being Pedo's whilst handing out Qurans mid worship. Taking a unwanted tour of the building whilst filming and being all round intimidating.

Pretty intimidating

I don't as that's the reaction they are looking for, hence the camcorder.

Important to remember these are the actions of a handful of thugs, best to remain calm and show them up for what they are.

Hope the police keep order as already whispers of youths "patrolling" mosques to defend against these thugs. Could turn ugly fast, so best to remain calm.

True and I agree but it just needs one lunatic like him on the other side and things can go way out of hand.

Would be nice if a punch or two would convince him to stop invading mosques but another chance is he could get stabbed and be made a martyr.

The independent story is a very much watered down version - "they were just handing out leaflets" - yer right! - we all know what the reaction by the media would have been if this was on the other foot.

you can't really look at pseudo Christianity as this group ignores the bible anyway and have made their own peace loving hippy god which seems at odds with the Hebrew and Shebrew god and the one in the NT. A remember it is only paul/sauls word that says Christians can break the laws.

Secondly, who cares? It's not like they are blowing themselves up on trains. As thuggish as this behaviour might be, it's barely noteworthy. If people want to stop this sort of behaviour, they ought to address the fundamental issues that exist between Islam and British culture.
