I'm not attempting to have a proper go at you personally, Asim. I thought it was common knowledge that the stereotype of the "dirty pig" was incorrect. They're actually very clean animals. Muslims believe otherwise.

I'm genuinely interested -- have you actually ever eaten pork yourself? Like, a nice pork chop, or chicken wrapped in bacon? If you haven't, you're really missing one of the greatest flavours known to human palettes.

Leviticus
“And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth
not the cud; he is unclean to you”.
“Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch,
they are unclean to you.” [Leviticus 11:7-8]
Pork is also prohibited in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy
“And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud,
it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their
dead carcass.” [Deuteronomy 14:8]
A similar prohibition is repeated in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2-5

It isn't even a few seconds though. When i was in Pakistan I used to watch my granddad slaughter chickens all the time. He'd lay it down and go for the throat with a sharp knife in a very quick and swift motion. Almost faster then I can see. The whole things over in less then half a second.

I think people just put it down cos it looks barbaric cos of all the blood. Those same people probably believe beheading someone is more barbaric then lethal injection or electric chair as capital punishment. At least there's a law stating the knife has to be sharp for animals which is more then I can say for the beheadings in the middle ages where it took several attempts sometimes.

Pigs are awesome, and they taste delicious.
Bacon shmacon, quality products like Jamón ibérico are quite possibly the best thing ever.

And they're cute!

Ermm the last time i looked pigs do wallow in their own **** and if you starve one long enough it will eat meat..which if you knew anything about islam you would also know that its strictly forbidden to eat any meat eating animal;).

Again the stupidity and ignorance of some forum members in here is quite astounding but then i dont know why im surprised lol.

And as a muslim i have tried pork...yes stone me to death but i was curious and ill tell you what happened next...i threw up soon as i had a few bites...the most vile and disgusting tasting meat i have ever eaten...makes me cringe to this day.

I'd be tempted to tell you to ask some of your ilk to take you off and stone you instead, as you are wont to do in your homeland, but that would just be ignorant of me.

The reasons pigs "wallow in their own ****" is due to the much-publicised negative farming conditions we've kept them in in the past.

Oh, and "having been starved, they'll eat meat"? Do you HONESTLY think that's any kind of argument? Stick a human being in a locked room with another dead person for long enough and I guarantee you they'll chow down before long.

The only ignorance you've highlighted with your post is your own.
 
All religious nonsense, their aint no god, its a silly man made myth, if your hungry and a pigs in the vicinity, kill it eat it, if a cow, chicken, (dog, cat if thats your thing) kill it and eat it too, were top off the food chain, put that into practice.:D

Why can't a privately own and run place, serve what the hell they like (within certain laws). With customers voting with their hard earned cash. why should either be forced to sell the other. Equality has gone absolutely crazy.
