Halal only outlets

A burger is a burger for gods sake, who cares if it was electrocuted, shot or had its throat cut.

Totally agree with this. Electrocution is just as bad as chopping their head off with one swipe.

If you're so concerned about the humaneness of slaughter, why don't you become a vegetarian.

But do you agree that slitting it's throat and letting it bleed to death is worse & less humane?

Muslims care.

Oh and I do, I'd prefer if the animals were killed humanely. That doesn't mean I'm against the idea though but why couldn't it have been given as an option instead?

Did you not read this? and you have the option of eating somewhere else dont you? :)

8. Is KFC's halal chicken stunned before slaughter?

Yes, due to our strict animal welfare standards, we insist that all our poultry is stunned before slaughter. Our halal chicken has been accredited by the Halal Food Authority, one of the most widely recognised bodies in the UK and overseas. It allows the use of a technique called 'stun-to-stun' - a pain free process that makes the animal insensible to pain and suffering. A verse is also recited from the Koran at the point of slaughter by an appropriate person and the poultry will not come into contact with non-halal meat at any point in the supply chain.
The HFA accreditation which is clearly signposted in the participating restaurants allows us to offer halal accredited meat whilst remaining committed to the same animal welfare standards as before, which meet or exceed all relevant UK and EU legislation.

Wow the anti muslim brigade are just out of control lol.

whats next, wait ive got it,

"these muslims are washing 5 times a day which is not helping the water shortages during the summer heat wave. If we have to put up with a hose ban why should these muslims be allowed to use OUR BRITISH water during this heat wave. Gordans lost all control thats why im voting BNP"

They wash 5 times a day JEEZ! put their water prices up!

*snip*

I don't see how that has relevance, I never said anything about being against Halal meat, I'd eat it if it had been killed humanely but if it was not stunned before I wouldn't.

& why should we have Halal only restaurants then? They have other options so why don't THEY go eat somewhere else? See I can do it too.

The best approach would be to cater for all.

Less humane, no.

Worse for the animal, maybe, as it will have to endure JUST a few more seconds of pain. Electrocution isn't always completely instant and painless.

You say yourself that it is worse for the animal than stunning it and so personally I'd say that it's less humane.

He isn't an idiot. Some people (myself included) disagree with the way halal meat is slaughtered and so won't support businesses that get their supplies in that manner.

Not that it's relevant for that French town, but for religious purposes due to the slaughtering process, Sikhs can't eat Halal prepared meat.

Again, it is up to the business as to how important it thinks the Sikh custom is compared to the muslim custom. If they make the wrong decision they suffer for it by losing business. If there is enough demand for non-halal then someone will step in to fill the gap in the market.

I can't stand Halal meat.

In the words of Lord Rooker, former Food and Farming minister and incumbent Chair of the Food Standards Agency: "I object to the method of slaughter ... my choice as a customer is that I would want to buy meat that has been looked after and slaughtered in the most humane way possible."

most chicken is halal slaughted anyway though even if its not labeled as such

I know, cant believe we went againt Hitler in WWII. You know after he finished with the Jews the Muslims were next. Dam Better Vote BNP

nothing wrong with the jews, they make loadsa money and dont make much trouble, muslims with their halal meat and their excess water use and ninja women is another matter

can you tell me how killing anything can be done "humanely"? what do you when you say mean humanely?

i just dont understand your arguement, its like saying pizza hut is discriminating against asians because it does not sell currys or sushi

so they dont want non-halal food, ok then. most 'indian' restaurants are halal, but you never would notice. any business that wants to stay alive needs to understand its market and cater for it. business 101 mate!

honestly, its the one of the craziest objections to an islamic principle i have ever come across!

Personally i don't care what happened to my meat before it became meat. Its still dead in the end no? Do people actually care about the 'feelings' of a chicken, pig or cow before you eat it?

Realistically, I couldn't give two ****s if they had it stomped to death by a horse. If it tastes good, it's going IN MY BELLY!

As for the OP...I don't see the problem. If you want bacon on your burger, take your custom somewhere else. The meat's no different even if it is "Halal", so if you want to eat it, do.

Oh, and Asim, quit trying to justify why you won't eat pork for reasons other than your religion. The ones you've provided do nothing but enlighten your indoctrination even more.

It is barbaric.

Yunno, I read an article a while back in the newspaper about the way chickens were slaughtered in the way you might call "non-barbaric". The chickens are stunned first and then boiled, after this 25% are still alive so they go through the process again. I don't know about you but I'd rather have my throat cut quickly with a knife that HAS to be sharp then endure the former method. Each to there own I guess/

BS. I'm not even a practising Muslim. I do drink, drugs and sex. I won't eat pig because I think it's ugly and fat.
