An exceptonally trite comparison.

Societal measures still exist in Ethiopia. Cannibalism would be descended upon with lethal reaction in the modern day. Even those desperate people are not immune to the inherent reaction to such an abominable act. However, if you want to delve into it - in times of EXTREME desperation, it does happen:

its 3am and i am no way reading all that link.....it's not an important point but in my mind im pretty sure there is no way i would be eating dead people.
just because someone wrote an article which claims anyone would(im guessing that's what it says) doesn't make it so.

in my example all you have to do is look at the starving people in Ethiopia, dead people all around them who starved to death and they would suffer the same fate if they didn't eat each other....yet they continued to starve to death.

Why would it suddenly stop? survival is inbuilt into all of us. tro very degrees.
Just like some people would rather die than eat insects the same can be said about this. There will always be people with a strong enough survival instinct to eat others, if they are put in that situation.
 
i just gave an example of where it hasn't happened...sure some of them may have but others starving to death with dead bodies around them proves it doesn't always.

To bring it back on topic, considering this came from Spawn's post, can you then prove that EVERY SINGLE PIG that has ever been put in situation has then eaten other pigs?

No? Then it makes them no worse than us.

Will everyone do it = no
Will it always happen if certain people are put in that situation = yes

well that's what i said....just because some would do it doesn't mean that i(or everyone else) would do it.

But I certainly won't. I'd rather die of starvation now, than die of starvation a few days later when the meat runs out anyway.

The vast majority of chickens in this country are stunned and they decapitated so with such a small animal as a chicken the difference is negligible. However compare this with how a cow is slaughtered and I really do not agree that halal is more humane than standard slaughter practices in the UK. Hence I will not buy halal meat and would happily support a law removing the exemption halal and kosher currently have in UK law.
