JB-LH partnership so far:

Wins - JB 7, LH 9
Podiums (inc. wins) - JB 24, LH 21
Points - JB 603, LH 609

Yeah, Hamilton's really whipping Button badly....6 points more in two-going-three years, I guess Button really does suck compared with the almighty Messiah™.

I was actually a lot easier on Button than I remember...

I definately was of the opinion that he would just take a big cheque, play second fiddle to Hamilton, and then ride off into the sunset with his 1 WDC and a decent nest egg, and be perfectly happy doing so. I actually think that he would still have been happy had that happened.

Then again, I did post some howlers like this:

Funny how these things turn out, McLaren sided with Hamilton over Alonso, Only to see Alonso leave after only a year and Hamilton this year.

Gone from having two of the best drivers in a team to what now?
Button who only does well when the car is working well and Perez who is well young.

Not that I think it's a very wise decision, he's doing what Alonso did..
Alonso left McLaren and had two horrible years at Renault, Hamilton will probaly have next year as his horrible year and then hope Mercedes build a good enough car with major technical changes in 2014.

He did better than any of us thought but I still think Hamilton is a step up as shown this year. Without the lost points he would be considerably ahead this year and has been far far better on saturdays.

Last year it took LH's worst season and JB's best ever season to beat him. By JB's own words it was the best he had ever driven. This year the points table doesn't tell the full story, much like Nico and MS.

I fear for Mclaren next year with JB's qualifying pace. It's why he's never been in with a shout this year and LH has despite all the points lost.
 
Im glad he's moved. Its shaken a few things up and I hope he gets some good results and another Title with them. In my eyes Mclaren are great, but I feel he isnt going to get another title with them, neither is Button.
