At what point in 1995 did he agree to move to Ferrari? And its not like Hamilton is an also ran this year. Without the mistakes he should be up the top of the title.

Just because McLaren have thrown it away recently doesn't change that he's moving from one of the very top teams to a midfielder scraping 1 to 2 race wins a year. I imagine with Brawn there he's most definitely looked at what Schumacher did and though "I fancy doing that".

Brawn has not done much since leaving Ferrari, he still seems to be some mythical genius though to a lot of people, while the likes of Todt, Byrne, Martinelli and even Stepney seem to be forgotten for their roles in the Ferrari success they enjoyed with MS.

Brawn off course played a part but he is not a one man fix it all genius.

i guess we have to wait and see how hamilton compares to nico before you can say average.

it helps your reputation if you have a fast car.

most of the "best" drivers would probably look pretty average in the mercedes aswell

rosberg looks pretty average and he often this season finished behind schumacher and got out qualified him but apparently hes recognised as one of the best on the grid by the paddock.


2010/2011 schumacher = average although signs of awesome sometimes when he was holding up button/hamilton
2012 = good or very good depending on how hamilton compares to nico.

i expect rosberg to give hamilton more of a challenge than button managed to.

He inherited that car though which was built using a whole lot of money, and they still nearly lost the title despite starting miles ahead.

Still 2009 is long gone we are now looking at 2013 four years later.

Correct, Stefano has 1 WCC and he is doing nothing good for Ferrari. Do you think Merc are in this to run midfield? Tell me how he has made Merc into something special. Tell me how he went from having a massive lead at the start of 2009 due to loadsa Honda money, 2 wind tunnels running all day long into nearly losing the title.
