I pointed out that this would happen weeks ago, basic supply and demand. As mechanical prices shoot up it'll drive more people to buy a SSD instead, increasing the overall demand for them and hence prices to increase.

that just doesn't make sense though, an increase in demand for a product that is already widely available would decrease the price of it. this isn't thomas cook lol.

The price will increase for the time being and then we can expect price drops, possibly below the lowest level that was seen not long ago.

Suppliers are prob jumping on the bandwagon and increasing SSD price to make a killing. They arent dull
