This guy used to drive an old banger. Now, he has a retro project car!
He's new...And Norwegian. Norwegians don't have taste ;)

That said, with those Ronal Turbos, the right stance and cleaned bodywork, it's certainly 'Retro' and fits in with the ethos perfectly; Everything has potential.

Wow, I once bought a retro car as my first car it seems! I thought it was just an old cheap to run ZX but no, apparently not.

You fitted an engine from a 405 with a massive turbo to your ZX...? There's hope for you yet ;)

Stock ZX = not Retro. THAT ZX = Retro.

You still don't get it, do you?

remember that cars are shockingly expensive in norway :p

Irrespective of price, he's doing something which I've never seen anyone do on these forums; looking outside the box.

He's taking a look usually reserved for european cars and applying it to a Charade.

I think that once it's all finished, it'll actually work pretty well.

Back to the car in the op, i think it looks awful as the wheels dont suit that car. With a different style of wheel it'd probably look pretty good, for a 318 anyway.

It's not the same thing at all imo.

Whilst retro/slammed isn't my cup of tea that Golf looks 100 times better than that pos BMW. Delocked, debadged, colour-coded, smoked lenses - it looks the part, whereas that BMW could be any bog-standard car picked up off Autotrader and the wrong size wheels stuck on it. It looks incomplete and generally toss. E36 318s have no pedigree, they're ten a penny.

Hold up. I agree that E36 has no pedigree compared to a golf as it's "ten a penny" is a bit pot, kettle, black isn't it?

That Charade looks great IMO, then again I love any small hatchback slammed on Ronal Turbos.
