I'm writing a book about how much I'm not interested in this whole Harry and Meghan saga. I've done extensive research and collected thousands of quotes from people saying just how much they aren't interested either. Once I get it edited down to a publishable length it's going to be a real page turner. Will obviously offer a discount code to members of this forum who share my complete lack of interest in this topic.

Piers Morgan named the two Royals involved in the "baby colour" stuff in his latest show should anyone be interested - 9:55 minute mark - It'll make not a single bit of difference to anything should he be correct is my take on this -

 
It is an inconsiderate remark and hurtful but racist no. It is the kind of thing that many would think even subconsciously without saying. I don't defend it however it is a storm in a teacup exaggerated out of all proportion.

to be fair it was all over twitter yesterday too if you looked for the translations... was it a "mistake"... M know? Did H know... they seemed to be trying to reconcile a bit recently but this has likely scuppered things a bit. The couple has turned out to be a huge liability for the Royals.

Surely you can't mis-translate names though? Names are universal pretty much - unless changed to make pronunciation easier.

I think the fact the names weren't even in the English version of the book undermines the "mis-translation" defense somewhat more :p

Swap 'mis-translated' for 'not redacted' and it makes a lot more sense.

Meh, the author is proven lair and someone claiming the names only appeared in the book due to a translation error from English into Dutch is laughable. The fact that Princess Katherine has been named 'by accident' is very telling to the motivation behind the book and who's pulling the strings on this.

Don't forget this all ultimately came the same couple that claimed they were involved in a hellacious an hour long car chase around New York.

Cant imagine either actually said it tbh - maliciously or otherwise.

If it had been one or two of the numerous old biddies they have hanging about the outskirts of the Royal family then yes but those two - nah.

Megs and H have never revealed names and the author has never wrote down names and he doesn't know who has put those names in.
The book has now been taken off the shelves to be reprinted.
A bit late if you ask me.

There was a passage posted on twitter where in context King Charle's mention might have been a mistranslation but I think maybe that's moot now as the translator has spoken out to give her side of the story:
