Harry Maguire - Banged up Abroad

I was just joking Rob but it is also a little odd that you're critical of Sterling when, given your age, I assume you started following football seriously during an era when footballers behaved 1000x worse than anything Sterling has done and you began supporting one of the worst behaved sides around at that time too.
Millwall, Wimbledon, etc there are far worse examples. As a Liverpool fan you will be familiar with the antics of Neil Ruddock who was far from desirable either. Then there's Collymore's well documented problems too. etc etc. We can all point to flawed people, teams, etc. It doesn't make one worse than another persay. Equally it doesn't mean people can't say someone did something wrong just because another might have been worse. It's the tabloid ranking system of degenerate top-trumps otherwise.

As I said, behaviour of footballers in that era was far worse than anything Rob's criticising Sterling for doing. Where it becomes slightly amusing is that Rob began following football in that era and chose to support Arsenal who had a manager taking bungs, Adams (somebody I'm sure Rob regards as a legend) in prison and Paul Merson drinking and snorting everything you put in front of him.

I think all that is a bit more "unbecoming" than Sterling being a bit of an idiot in his younger days, going out a bit too much and taking legal highs. If Rob is offended by anything Sterling has done then it raises the question why did he decide to support that Arsenal side.

I don't see any point in ranking mischief-makers but I'd prefer someone takes hippy crack in solitude rather than publicly beat-up police officers :p.

Supporting a particular team doesn't mean you condone what certain players do though.

In the case of Sterling, he is unfairly criticised in the press and by closet racists because he is a young black player, no question about it. Can you imagine the beating he would get in the press if it was him and not Maquire yet Maquire is getting off lightly in the low IQ rags.

Lets be honest, we currently know the square route of FA about this at the moment with any certainty. The initial police report makes it sound like he terrorised the poor meek police officers who didn't know what to do with a raging bull rampaging through the resort and police station. If there is one thing I know about a lot of foreign police forces is that you don't mess with them because they will simply beat the **** out of you with impunity. Maybe the truth will come out eventually but probably not. I imagine its somewhere in the middle of Harry Maguire being a pillock coupled with some dodgy police officers.

this.. i spent a lot of time in Greece in my younger days, the Police hold no prisoners (pun) they can be brutal at times.

I cant believe his solicitor came out and said, along the lines of, it's doubtful he will serve a custodial sentance... That's like a red rag to a bull for a judge

"Do you know who I am" ... oh dear. I doubt anyone has ever used that statement and it do them any favours.

Allegedly his sister was injected with a substance that caused her to faint, and instead of hospital she was taken to a police department?

it’s all a bit mishmash God knows what happened but hopefully he’s home soon

He's already home. He came home straight away. The sister that was apparently injected didn't however and carried on her holiday. Surely she eventually went to hospital? It could have been anything...there would be bruises where it was administered aswell.

Yeah sounds like more BS. also apparently it was 2 albanian guys who did it. So maguire and co get into a fight with some Brits then 2 albanians show up inject his Sister and then they asssult the police officers and try to run away?

Sounds like a great story from their lawyer lol.
