I agree with you. I'm just saying for all those religious fanatics out there. My nan alsothought other life (aliens) was nonsense. I think religion is slowly fading away with every generation.

Yes I agree with some of the comments above, you see extremism is so high in Islam that sometimes things like the cartoon causes mayhem. In fact I call this ignorance of Muslim people.

How I would go about it is instead of looking like a barbarian on TV I would educate the world or have a small press conference on why its wrong.

The world needs more people who think like this.

When are people going to realise that Halal, Kosher etc were invented by the religious leaders of the time to promote good food hygiene and are a complete anachronism.

Think about it, it all comes from the old Testament (which is common to Judaism, Christianity and Islam), which was written over 2000 years ago, when clean kitchen implements, ovens to ensure things were cooked properly etc didn't exist.

The leaders saw all these people dying from shellfish, pork, cross contaminated food, badly butchered meat etc, and decided to come up with a set of 'religious' laws to prevent it happening.

The leaders wanted as many fit healthy people for their own religion as possible. Ergo, the 'no spilled seed, no contraception etc argument as well'

I'm just saying what if they got it wrong. Say if it was I who was one day sat in my study and writing a pretty little story. Then a few millennium later people find my story, believe it to be the words of a god and base their social structure of civilization on it. In the meantime, God in his/her/it's real form is looking down and laughing thinking what a bunch of morons. Or maybe god doesn't have thought because he isn't a person or entity looking down, he's just a big explosion that occurred millions of years ago. The only proof that we have supporting is a book, and that isn't even solid evidence. I think we're ultimately ignorant, in science and religion.

What a daft thing to say. Yes religion isn't bothered if you're black or white, if you're rich or poor or even if you have access to valuable resource.......all its interested in is whether you're with us or not.
