Hayfever - Thread

i'm tying prevalin at the moment, if i catch it early enough it seems to hold it back for an hour or two, smells like i just sprayed chewing gum up my nose lol

This didn't really work for me, I like the way it says works in 3 minutes but that is just because the liquid is menthol so it feels like it's clearing you up, after those 3 mintes it's back to streaming snots !!

This is my first time having hayfever....always said man up to mates who have it....i take my words back its hell on earth having this :( doesnt help at work they have all the windows open on one side and its next to a field so pollen is terrible

I suffer pretty badly from hay fever and have been taking fexofenadine for the past 7-8 years, 2x 180mg a day.

For the past few years I've noticed its become less and less effective and this year its really not helping much at all.

I've been told your body can form an immunity to it which sucks as it was the only drug that worked for me and I think I've tried pretty much all of them.

So now I'm looking into other remedies and red light therapy keeps coming up.

I keep hearing mixed reviews on it, some say it works wonders while others say its simply a placebo effect.

Does any one use red light therapy and has it worked?
I can pick up a unit for about £20 so it might be worth a try, I know I've spent more than that on drugs that don't work!

What do people in here find works well for itchy eyes? The runny nose and sneezing i can deal with but my eyes get so red and itchy i struggle everyday at work.

Ive tried eye drops before(cant remember any brands) but couldnt really tell if they did anything. Is there anything that really works?

I've been suffering from hayfever for years. I have tried all sorts of tablets/sprays/drops in desperation to control it.

I was going to give up but my GP recommended this new product called "Greenaway". Apparently it's only recently come out. I've been on it for 3 weeks and it's..... AMAZING!

You let the tablets dissolve in some boiling water and you inhale it via steam. And to top it off (going to sound crazy) its cured my carpal tunnel!

Just finishing at work heading home soon. I can try finding out the chemical
Name for it as Greenaway is probably the brand name?

I have some Betnesol-N for my eyes and its brilliant.

First impression of the air purifier thingy.... my room smells a bit.
Left it on all day, am now in my room and I'm not sneezing. Moment of truth will be tomorrow morning.
