Hazro series - HZ30Wi, HZ30WiQ, HZ27WA, HZ27WB & HZ27WC

Hi will 2 5870s 1GB be enough to run games on a HZ30Wi or will there be problems.

In terms of getting an image, there shouldn't be any problems. As to how well/fast these cards render images has more to do with specs of the computer than the monitor itself. If your question is in reference to input lag etc., please refer to the review on TFTCentral which covers this point.

"HZ27Wa [LED]: i was relying on this monitor having Displayport.

Some devices come equipped with DP only and converter cables would be needed. This is an added expense. However, from an end user perspective, connecting via DP, HDMI or DP would make no difference to image quality.

"HZ27Wa [LED]:
Do you at least know if it will work using a 15m displayport cable equipped with a DisplayPort to DVI Video Converter plug (such as the Startech one)?

We will have all this tested by early next week. May I know which graphics card your using?

Hi Hazro. The cable will be a Fisual 15m displayport cable, the convertor probably Startech. The graphics card will be some flavour of AMD's 6850 (i assume it doesn't matter which brand?).

"congratulate the choice to omit DP connection.

If I had the need for this I would just buy the Apple cinema diplay "

Can't see your logic, other than it speeds up the product release. Why would anyone congratulate the omission of the most up-to-date video connector on a new monitor?

re. Apple cinema display, i'd rather chew my arm off than buy ANYTHING from them, not to mention it's at least 50% more expensive.

There I was planning for a dell 27inch for my birthday when I stumble across this thread. 27inch, LED, IPS. Couple hundred smackers cheaper? Oh yes please.

I presume they will all be VESA compliant?

Unlike some people I have been waiting for quite some time for the perfect monitor. LED, IPS, GLOSSY, low input lag. ability to dim below 120 cd/m2 with DVI. Going through all the high end ips screens out there for the last couple of years I'm now at a point where I couldn't care less about the price. But I hate having to use a advanced adapter like the http://www.atlona.com/Atlona-DVI-to-Mini-DisplayPort-Converter-p-17859.html

I think display port is actually a useful addition to monitors. It grants more bandwidth than DVI, so is sure to become the standard sooner or later. Who knows, 120Hz with 2560x1600 might be possible with DP (or a later revision) - according to Wiki it can handle 120Hz 2560x1600 (it can handle 3840x2160x30bpp @ 60Hz - which is 8,294,400 pixels, and 2560x1600x30bpp @ 60Hz is 4,096,000 pixels, so in terms of raw bandwidth it's possible. Whether practical remains to be seen) while DVI certainly can't.

Dell 27 Or Hazro 27 any one?

I'm thinking of getting a Dell this sat tho will wait for a Hazro if they are any better gaming wise.

Well to me Hazro seem like they are still trying to find their feet and get things going for the retail market, So if I were buying now I would probably go for the Dell but the Harzo will probably be a good £200 cheaper.

Ok Thanks

If you are still around I'm picking between these two just for gaming and noticed on CFT Central the Dell has bad input lag is this a big thing for monitors with gaming? becuase apart from the lag the dell sounds better.

HZ27Wb + HZ27Wa

Been looking at the info for these two on the Hazro website. I see that the max resolution for these is 2560 [H] x 1440 [V]. Just wondering if I will be able to run games at that resolution at an above average frame rate.
My system is an i5 2500K + 4 GB Ram + Radeon 6950 2GB

Hi Silver

I've been told on a few forums that my 2 5870s 1GB will run 1600 fine so tho I'm not 100% sure but 6950 2GB should run 1440 by the looks of it.

I recently bought a Dell 3007WFP-HC which runs at 2560x1600, and can safely say that a 6970 (well, 6950 flashed to a 6970) is more than enough to run the vast majority of games at full settings with AA. I expect the exceptions will be Crysis/Metro and the like, but they look good anyway, so it doesn't bother me too much if I don't run them at full settings.
