Yea if OC stocked the WB, I proberly would have gone for that version.

I know you can get it direct, but its a fair old wait for shipping imo! 4-5 weeks?

I am not specially good at keeping dust away in my room but no dust under the glass here.

Had the WC now for a month and I am still smiling over the picture quality on this monitor! Very pleased!

Hi

I have received an HZ27WA today (ordered from hazro.com; sent them a message on monday and they told me that they had a few left, and that I could receive on ordering the same day, with free shipping to Spain, and there will be a new batch, as always in 2 weeks ;) ).

It's great, impressive. Just made a pixel test, and havn't found any defect. In the lower right corner there seem to be 2 very little specs of dust behind the panel (not behind the glass; I looked with a loupe, and it is possible to see the pixels to be ok, but a shadow behind them). They are hard to find and see, and don't bother me at all.

I am happy with it.

Cheers
Klaus

What graphics card do you use?

Might be worth waiting a little while to see what answers hazro give to the questions i've asked them.

mrbios, it seems NVIDIA have now released new Beta drivers 275.27 which has windows 7 scaling improvements and some other Control Panel changes.

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18275880

I am not sure if they have tried to fix the problems you let then know about with the HZ27WC and their drivers.

Have you tested these new betas yet on your HZ27WC to see if the NVIDIA Control Panel options are working instead of being empty and the scaling works properly on this screen now?

Ah cheers for pointing that out, downloading them now, will let you know how they go :)

I take it you have the same problem as I had with this screen conserning scaling doesn't work at all using any lower resolutions than the default 2560x1440?

Have you also noticed that even when you enable scaling in the NVIDIA Control Panel when using this screen, as soon as you close the Control Panel and then open it
again and go back to the scaling options, for some odd reason scaling seems automatically disabled again?

It seems the changes you make to the scaling options don`t get saved.

Yep that's the exact problem i've had, reported it to Hazro a while back and they responded letting me know that they knew there was an issue and that they were working on it. Haven't had anything back since though :(

(in case you missed the edit on my last post, same problems with these drivers)

Thanks for letting me know.

Have you asked them if you would be able to get a replacement without problems ones they fix these problems?

Like I said before, if they manage to sort the issues with this screen and NVIDIA Cards then I might consider buying this screen again.

Well hazro said they would update both myself and us on here once they had news for us on the issue, luckily for me the one game i was playing that needed the scaling options changed i've started playing a lot less now (not due to the monitor though, counter strike source...addict etc in thepast :p) so it's not as much of a problem for me, but naturally i want a fully working product in case i need those settings again!

Hi there

We have the Hazro's back in, were continuing to do the glass versions because even though some have some very minor dust issues there is still incredible demand in place as the positives far outweigh the negatives of the glass screen. :)

However for those who are put off by the possibility of dust behind the glass which happens with all glass fronted monitors, including NEC's we also have some none-glass fronted panels which obviously suffer from no dust issues.

So now you can truly get an amazing 27" IPS based panel for nearly half the price of the DELL equivalent. :)

These monitors use a glass coating on the front which results in much sharper images quality, more vibrant colours and an overall better viewing experience. The downfalls of glass fronted panel is the monitor weighs a lot more and the manufacturing process can lead to dust particles been trapped between the panel and the glass which can sometimes be spotted when up very close to the screen and with certain solid coloured backgrounds.

Hazro have informed me on this new batch they have taken extreme measures to limit any dust but for those who don't want to take the risk, the none-glass version is more appropiate.

It certainly doesn't happen to all. My HZ24Wi does not have any dust behind the glass and most people know how I feel about dust. My screen was bought on launch so a god few years old.
