***HEADS UP: MSI GTX 580 OC @ £399 Until Midday Monday!!***

thats not what i want, i want what was offered yet webnotes are complete fail, again i sent another message making it clear what i wanted, and all they did was ignore me and process an RMA, i did not even ask for an RMA and they are asking me to ship it to them with no mention of postage paid so go figure that one out........i stand to lose that way which isnt my problem its MSI's problem.

departments are just not communicating with head staff and its been a full day or more with no response at all:confused:

This is leaving a very bad taste....ive used overclockers for years but now will be considering others...

Tell me about it, I'm probably not even going to touch it and just return it and see if it can be replaced by the EVGA. In all honesty I'm not at all happy.

So, the product you got is not what you paid for, you're also not happy with it, yet you're refusing to return it, as requested by OCUK for a full refund and then you make public demands for an arbitrary discount! Just send it back and get on with your life I say. I'm sure they'll refund your postage if you ask nicely.

well if it was me, i would except either a full refund including postage or the better option would be that msi do a rma exchange, just like mobile companys do when you get a faulty mobile courior collects faulty phone and sticks it in a returns bag at the same time gives you a new phone, that to me would be good customer service and it should be at msi expense not ocuk, then everyone is happy:D

me? there are no decent alternatives on the site for a start and two why do i have to ask nicely for return shipping? id have to fight for it like last time i was promised return shipping yet i had to ring after 3 weeks asking where my return money was......

I already paid over half of the balance off the purchase so thats awkward as well, i cant flash it myself as i cant test stability and when you buy something anyways you expect to get what you bought, if not the retailer exchanges it for something with the same spec.

hint hint wink wink cough cough asus gtx 580 for unhappy msi owners?

i paid £412 so its not that far off the price.its the same difference you would have to pay in RMA and then what does the dissapointed customer get for being fooled by msi? nothing so you will lose a customer that way when you could take the easy way out and make everyone happy yet still no one comes foward with anything but a cheeky rma request :(

i understand its been slow as msi are on a different timezone but jesus the replys are non existant from shop staff.

Oh well, as they say on Dragon's Den, "I'm out'. Mine has gone back to OCUK this afternoon under DSR and I will let them sort this out with MSI

I'd have to admit I'm a bit surprised as the e-mails above suggested we would have a solution by now.

It doesn't make a massive difference if the cards clock as Afterburner or Precision will automate the clock change anyway but this doesn't reflect well on either company. OcUK have obviously taken the product off sale in the interim which is the right thing to do but I would expect some communication at least for those who have already taken receipt.

So still no update? No decision made by OcUK what they are going to do about this? I can't afford to not have a working PC so returning it just like that and waiting on a resolution is not something I'm considering.

it would be nice if someone posted and said hey msi will RMA your card but no nothing so after tomorrow i put my complaint into HQ management and let them sort it out.OCUK wont respond as they want the thread to die well let it die then and i know to go elsewhere for "support" when i buy my new PC.

OCUK think they offer fantastic support and so do certain people on the forums who blow thier trumpets well all i have ever recieved was complete crap and a load of dribble from someone typing via webnote.as i said the last gfx card i ordered from here i had to haggle for missing cables and it took over 2 months of moaning to get it LOL.

highly trained support staff indeed.

DSR:

"It is a legal obligation for sellers to give buyers a full unconditional refund, including initial delivery costs as long as the purchaser informs the seller that they wish to return the goods within seven working days."

OcUK should be certainly offering the return cost up front if not arranging courier collection themselves for these cards to be returned. Surprised by the lack of communication on here and webnotes from the sounds of it.

This fiasco could hit them hard particularly as their reputation isn't particularly high outside of these forums anyway!

I'm really surprised there has been no response from Overclockers in this thread or the one in the Graphics card section, however new deals are being posted in here so they must be aware of the disgruntlement.

Why would anyone be tempted by those other deals when there is evidence here of what happens when a deal falls through?

I have to say this looks very bad for OcUK, can't take too long to atleast type up an update or what is likely to happen to those who recieved the wrong cards.

Very poor.

How long does it take to tell us what is happening? How long to get a BIOS file which MSI should already have since I assumed they tested the card before making it an official product? Also I don't want to be out of pocket by having to pay for carriage to return it.
