Heroic passengers stop somalian's deportation!!!

Thread is rife with stupid ****. What an unwelcoming surprise.

Lets use a little bit of logic here for a moment (i know how advanced of I), the total lack of knowledge of the situation of the convicted deportee is immaterial to the moral indignity of deportation in the first place. The passengers are well within their right to protest, and the airline is within their right to press charges for the time wasted (ultimately up to them).

Frankly if the government doesn't want this to happen, either it throws out legal obligations to keep court cases mostly insular and turn their nation into vigilante hell or it just uses a bit of extra cash to do the deportation correctly.

/gee that wasn't hard, no need to insinuate for the rape of children or anything.

Why do you think a deportation has moral indignity attached to it?

In the manner it was done, it is, putting people on public planes is never going to be 100% safe and again they had no prior knowledge of what the man had done, nor should they.

So ultimately it's between the airline and the passengers, anything else is exceptional circumstance.

He does say he didn't mean it in the next line that you deleted for some reason?
Why did you delete it voice?

Is it because it would let you pretend he said something else and virtue signal a bit?
to be fair he didn't actually say he didn't mean it. what he said was 'but no...' that's not exactly an admission that he didn't mean it, it could simply mean that the poster acknowledges it wouldn't be allowed to happen (obviously)......nowt to do with virtue signalling. it was a repulsive statement to make, joke or otherwise.

Id have been very annoyed at the other passengers who caused my flight to be delayed or cancelled if I was on that plane.

But they shouldnt deport people on public flights. It has potential for disruption and risk to the public if the deportee becomes violent.

So why delete it? It clearly went against the point you're making so you just did it so you could attack the guy didn't you?

At least they tried to deport this guy

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uk...-stay-in-Britain-on-human-rights-grounds.html

2 counts of rape, severe risk to children can't be deported as he may face "mistreatment"....

Currently free in the UK...
Csnt be removed a she couldn't get me take health tr3atment for his ptsd for the stuff he saw in Somalia before comming here....Then No evidence of any issues before the deportation case, it was brought on by the stress of facing deportation.

I'm sure his rape victims feel no stress knowing hes still here at all

Edit wait 5 years for 2 rapes? Jesus and the guy in the op only did 4 years for gang rape.

I didn’t delete anything. I quoted it in full. With or without the deletion of ‘but no...’ the post is utterly rancid and utterly indefensible.

Hahs you didn't wuite it in full you deleted over half the post

Namely the bit that explicitly contradicted the first and made it a sensible "but no".

Don't ******** that you quoted in full when you "sniped"

Hey man, I appreciate your posts honestly.

On reflection my post probably wasn't in good taste, but at the end of the it was a silly comment on a message forum board and that is all it was.

I call it the the "Eastenders Mentality" - people just creating drama when there really isn't any.

I'm in a bit of a grumpy mood today so I will say it how I see it. I'm an old git and hate the way the world has gone recently.

1960's, 1970,s, 1980's, 1990's
"I don't know the full facts here so I will either keep quiet or I will try to find out more"

2000's, 2010's
"I know better than everyone else so I will just shout them down until they shut up and let me have my way"

Actually I didn’t even need to quote the post at all. I posted in reply to thevoices post and quoted him. Lololol. I think you’re getting a bit knicker twisted with the wrong person.

This man has been through the police, court and immigration system probably over the course of many months and dealt with by professionals in this field.

Some randoms on a plane feel that they know better. It just shows you the laser narrow view that these people have, SJW types are almost like cult members in their single mindedness. It would be bad enough if this was the first time it happened, but this just happened a couple of months back in Sweden.

It can only be pure narcissism driving this. The facts clearly don't matter, they see an opportunity for a riotous crusade and just cannot resist it. They basically scream and shout with their fingers in their ears.

passengers have no right at all to stick their nose into something that doesn't concern them, especially if it's legal matters. how on Earth can they have the "right" to protest if they don't know what they're protesting about, ffs?

I sometimes wonder if a change in parenting styles in the 90's has amplified this kind of behaviour. Many children just don't get told, "no" anymore and some parents are happy to give in to their whims for a quiet life.

It's a long shot but maybe that has some bearing on entitlement issues down the line as people get older. I'd say that might be the case with a mollycoddled nephew of mine.

I'm not a parent and it's probably much more complex so I'm just going by observations of others.

I agree with MookJong that it's narcissism, it's like Puritanism except it's not Christian, it's "look at me and how righteous I am". And I think it's mainly because of social media. If you wanted to show something off before you went to the pub and showed your mates, the scale of 'showing off' was very small for most people. Now you've got everyone and their dog looking at you on instagram. It's insane, classic example: my brother and his wife had their first child on Friday. My mother posted a photo on facebook and asked me to like it (yes like ******* South Park), I asked her why? It's just facebook, I 'liked' the baby when I held it. She wanted likes just so she could have a +1 on her tally of likes. These people feed off these likes as if they're self esteem points or "Look at me and how amazing my life is" points. My question to her was, why the hell do you care so much about likes on facebook? And that's my mum! I would not want to be a teenage girl growing up these days. Social media really is a social ill.

'Likes' have been engineered by psychologists to deliver a dopamine hit like taking cocaine. They're addictive and social media is full of addicts.
