HID Conversion Kits

Why cant you do the same?

Because I have an opinion that differs from yours which you seem to so very much hate.

You seem so passionate about what OTHER people do on the roads that im almost worried that you spend more time looking around like the local neigbourhood road warrior than actually focusing on driving?. You'd make a great traffic cop :D.

I never said I was fitting them to look cool nor have I said such a thing or hinted at it?.

I said further up I wanted MORE light output simple as.

Dude its a discussion forum, we discuss things, what exactly do you expect? You seem to be trying to convince yourself everything is fine, when everyone is telling you it probably wont be. Thats a tad frustrating.

I find people like yourselves opinion that I 'hate' people having a difference of opinion to me quite amusing - infact, very amusing. I *enjoy* discussing things. Its fun. Thats why I post here. How much discussion do you think we'd get through if everyone who posted here shared my opinion? None at all! Someone would post a thread, everyone would agree and it'd end. Exciting.

I thoroughly enjoy people having a different opinion. Although I must admit it's tedious when their opinion is based purely on hearsay, its better when the other party has at least half a clue.

You can tell all that because I have an opinion/dislike of foglights during the day and badly fitted HID kits?

Blimey. Career tip: Don't take up psychology.

Thats my point, but I would also be worried about the lack of a levelling mechanism causing the same problem when used with heavy loads. Obviously not a problem with using the VX :p

I do have a levelling mechanism for heavy loads as do most modern cars these days.

Yup - virtually all cars have it. The only car I've had which doesnt was the Xantia and that had self levelling suspension instead.

Headlight washers and self levelling are not an issue but non projector lights most certainly are. I've got the washers and they dont do much other than waste fluid.

Long winded post

It's simple I'll try the kit if I deem it to be unacceptable I'll take it straight off I'm not some local charver with no care for other road users I just feel the kit is at least worth a trial on my car before totally writing it off. May aswell now I have purchased it.

Anyone placing bets on the chance he finds it 'unacceptable' versus the chance he finds it 'proper bo innit'? :D

If it's crap I send it back.

I'll get some friends to test and see if it blinds them :p, I've never ever been blinded by a HID even when I have light sensitive eyes myself.

You may find it hard to believe, but not every Focus driver is a complete tosspiece ;)

But we all have different sensitivities to light Tom. I, for instance, happen to be able to stare directly at the sun for 4 hours without ill effect. The only thing I noticed whilst doing so is how much more damn manly I was at the end.

This is where you went wrong:
Anyone else use/used these kits and your thoughts on them?.
You invited comment, then vehemently argued against anyone who said something other than positive about it.
Next time if you're going to ignore the advice, don't ask. Just post "I'm doing X" and save us all the hassle of reading the inevitable fallout.

Of course I'll welcome comments  doesn't mean I'll agree with them though

I understand the flaws of the kit I just don't need it rechurned over and over like numerous people have done

The problem we have is that although you have understood the flaws of the kit (although they are more safety issues for other drivers) you are continuing to fit them regardless, because it doesn't affect you/you haven't noticed a problem.

If there wasn't a dazzle issue associated with fitting HID lamps to halogen lights then every response to this thread would have been positive, we arn't just doing this to annoy you (well I am not anyway, I have sensitive eyes and get regularly dazzled by HID kits on old corsas/escorts/novas etc).
