Hiper vs Enermax/Coraqi

Sounds like we have some people Bitter at Hiper in this thread.

And to me who has never owned a Hiper or any other brand of decent PSU (Casecom allaway!!) it doesnt sound like a con... just goes to show to many end users look to much into the wattage of a PSU. It did supply 580w overall. Albeit not where it was needed.

All though i have read about the component swappin.... Who dares wins?

After browsing through this it seems that earlier Hyper type-r 580W PSUs aren't actually that bad. I bought mine in late 2005? Should i be wary of it or is this before Hyper started to reduce the quality of the components?

yeh it took about 2 weeks for me as they managed to loose my address and name until i contacted them!

they Hipers are shocking! get it repaired and flog it, far to mnay problems to risk it. I bought mine in 2005 from that large pc "world" store, utter rubbish!

I got mine is 2005 or 2004 and mine has been very good, I was worried about running it in a system with a 2900XT because of what people said but I soon got over that and it was all good, I think they must have reduced the quality after though but hopefully they using better quality parts now, apparently they sued cheapo capacitors and stuff like that.
