HIS Excalibur X1900 XT-X ICEQ 3 SILENT

Definitely post what the Ice Q sounds like and GPU temps when you get it Tommy. I'm also pretty interested in how it operates as it's getting close to my bi-annually new PC building time again.I've pretty much decided on a 1900xt and would definitely go for the IceQ if it sounds quieter.

If it is actually silent, I can see my bank balance being eaten away once more lol! but the amandtech review stating 49.5 decibels doesnt sound silent at all.

Looking forward to buyers comments. . .

FOR **** SAKE!

THOSE ABSOLUTE **********

I phoned this morning; "Sorry it was a new guy who got lost and returned with half the packages. It'll defo be with you this afternoon."

NOW I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL TUESDAY FFS.

Do they do sat delivery, open on sat so I can go and pick it up? Can I claim a refund on the £8 I paid for postage? This is ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY THE HELL DO OCUK USE THESE CRETINS? AMTRACK WERE SUPERIOR!

their failure rate seems to be staggering tbh. whats all that read me about " we deliver gauranteed".

they couldn't deliver a chinese takeaway on time.

ocuk should seriously look elsewhere for a courier service, 3 months running my packages have been late!! thats unbelievable!!! i think its because the drivers are agency staff mostly......and the bottom line is, they dont give a read me.

for an example of what cowboys these drivers are, just over a week ago when waiting for my sn25p and new cpu to arrive it got to 6pm on the(2nd) day of delivery and my brother was leaving in his car. when he got home about 40 mins later he rang me and told me he saw a city link van about 200 yards down the road............but i never got my delivery

dont want to sound over dramatic, but when it comes to ordering with ocuk these days, i keep being tempted by read me and read me and the like, purely for a diff courier.

OH and yes amtrack are way better, my brothers step dad is an amtrack driver and my bro says he NEVER has packages left on his van when finishing work. also if he's running late its never by more than half an hour.

has anyone ever received a package from city klink past 7pm?? becasue they alweays change their story when you ring up........first its 7pm they work til.........then at 6.55pm when you ring up, they suddenly work till 8 lmfao, like i said utter cowboys!

I have found the absolute opposite to you guys, City Link always deliver for me, i've never had a parcel come in late. Amtrak on the other hand once delivered a graphics card i ordered to some random guy on the other side of town who signed for it as 'xxxxx smith' and my last name starts with a K ffs lol. In my case i was extremely lucky because the guy actually had morals, and he took it upon himself to deliver it to me, and surprisingly he found my house just fine.

So basically i think all couriers have good drivers and bad drivers.

Phoned them up.

"Our driver is new and he was on his own"

"He couldn't find you"

FOR THE SECOND DAY!!!!!!!!!!
RUBBISH!

"I'm sorry but you won't get your package until Tuesday"

FOR **** SAKE!

That's a whole ******* week from placing to receiving the order.

CityLink is very hit and miss. It all depends on the driver you get. IMO Royal Mail Special Delivery is the best :).

Hi

I live in France and i have buy the iceq3 x1900xt here on oc.uk

I can tell you its quiet
And hot, more than 80°c

But it is sad that the molex---pcie adaptor is not included for those who have an old psu, its a little hard to find.

Can you tell me what are the diffrences between the xt and xtx ?
Only the fréquences or there is something else ?
Is there a big difference ?

Thank u

Hello Sophie, hope the weather in France is better than our rainy bank holiday here in the UK. Nice GFX card, btw.

No, there's not a big difference between the xtx and xt.

However, the xtx's 1.1ns memory does tend to overclock higher than the xt's 1.1ns memory. Maybe this has something to do with the memory timings or higher quality chips, but no one really knows.

Has anyone bought this & compare it to the standard X1900XT-X etc?

Check this link:- http://www.hisdigital.com/html/productnews_20060331.html

Faster, Quieter and Cooler

Faster: Heat transfers rapidly out of GPU and reduces temperature faster.
Cooler: IceQ 3 cools down the core temperature dramatically, at least 11°C lower than original cooler.
Quieter: IceQ 3 operates with lower noise level as 20dB.
All Cool: Sensitive to Ultra violate light with special UV effect.

Either Amandtech's review was P*** poor or HIS are telling porkys in regards to the noise level, I am soooo tempted to buy one of these!!!

Someone please talk me out of it! lol

Trust me mate it's quiet. MUCH quieter than the stock AMD 64 cooler.

I would have major doubts about a manufacturers claims of 20db WHEN one
of the best review sites are saying it is more like 48db (against standard X1900 noise levels of about 51db).
The fan design look more or less same as standard.
Whereas the Zalman VF900 has claimed noise levels of 18.5 -> 25db with a
90mm fan on it !!!.

Know which one I would trust tbh ;)

Net access was down all day at work today, so I missed out on saving £70 on a £760 order due to OcUK hyking up the prices again, so unfortunatly I wont be placing my order till the prices drop. My own fault should have placed the order last night, made up my mind to buy one too late oh well. The price on the card alone has increased £25

Totally gutted. :(

That sucks but tbh you should have placed the order last night knowing that "This Week Only" is updated on Thursdays.

Aye was going to place it this morning but net access down at work, saved myself forking out £760 or should I say OcUK has missed out on an order.

Annoying thing is the prices still show at the discounted price but theres no buy button on the damn page!
