Holidays 2022

Had our flight home from Montpellier (03/07)cancelled. We transferred to a flight later that day but i'm not confident that it will definitely happen. May have to be train and eurostar home(doing this on the way out).

So it seems Singapore has removed Negative test to enter as long as you are vaccinated. Korea still need a negative test before after after landing.

Getting better…

Can report Stansted pretty dead for 12:10pm flight was through security In 10 mins.

A friend was out at 6am this morning said had to queue for an hour through security.

So far, so covid free, just need to last until the test on Saturday.

Annoyingly, the weather in Norway is looking to be crap next week :(

Think I'll be booking a static caravan on a park somewhere in Devon/Cornwall this year; seems the most stress free /cheapest option. Can anyone recommend anywhere specific? Kids aged 0 & 2. Need swimming pool and beach with stones on.
Haven Devon Cliffs was always a hit with my 2, they loved that pool when they where younger, sandy beach with a bar on top of it.

I need some help! I’ve never had an all inclusive holiday, but I think I fancy one. 7 nights, on a beach, within 5 hours flight time of Glasgow. There are lots, but how do you people pick where to go?! It’s very overwhelming. Any suggestions? I’m also very nervous about a terrible buffet dinner. Are they actually good for food, or just designed to fill you up?
I reckon Canary Islands or Turkey would be best for heat…
Must be adult only, reckon around £1k pp is reasonable and early September.

Turkey gets a lot of bad rep, mainly for the insufferable British that are there. I usually go to turkey for a cheap holiday, if I'm doing AI I tend to go for 1 week as the buffet style food gets boring very very quickly.

Has anyone claimed and got a response from easyjet? I think I saw somewhere they were doing the claims within 7 days, but their website states 28... 28 days being out of pocket seems like a long time..

Quote: "The government and the aviation regulator wrote to carriers on Tuesday telling them to ensure their summer timetables were "deliverable"."

This goes right back to my point I made a few weeks ago. Why were those flights even on the schedule if they couldn't fill them ? The airlines are just scheduling flights, taking peoples money and hoping for the best and only realising they can't do it when passengers are already at the gate waiting.

My flight from Gatwick was just cancelled, and they moved us to a later flight from Heathrow.

What was a safe, 6 hour window from landing to get to the port, is now only 2 hours. We're moving to carry on only to buy some buffer time.

My friend’s parents were flying from Brum to Poland for a coach tour holiday. The flight has been cancelled. Their tour company is paying for a taxi door to door to Stansted - along with 4 other couples.

The tours usually are served by two flights. Now all the tour group fly out together.
