Did anyone else try to win battles by swarming bigger ships with a load of tugs and just stealing them?

Yes!
I recall a mission in HW where there were dozens of those ships, which had one massive laser, in a sphere formation around something. All it took was a bunch of tugs to entice one or two at a time from the formation and then when they were sufficiently far enough from the group, capture them. The rest of the game was easy mode after stealing most of thoseThe last mission was just a wall formation of those ships in front of my mothership

Tugs were the best. The first time I played HW I didn't capture many ships and the game got super hard later on, the next time I spammed tugs and captured everything I could; I had a massive fleet by the last mission
i don't normally go for the limited edition runs like the rc car from call of duty but this i would actually buy, and its a usb hub too win win

They essentially are entirely new. New engine, new models, new textures, new audio, new animations, etc etc.
The only thing that's already done is the concept and mechanics.

Couldn't get into Cata! I liked it but didn't feel right to me. Same with HW2, a good game but not as satisfying as HW 1!
On that note i wonder why it's not part of this package?
Cataclysm wasn't developed at Relic but instead Barking Dog Studios, while the IP to Homeworld was purchased, the source code to Cataclysm was almost non-existent so they had no option but to unfortunately not have it available.
I have been waiting for that Amazon Pre-Order on the Collector's Edition for what seems forever now. Come on Gearbox I want it now. >_<

This is going to be so awesome. HW1, with the scene with Adagio For Strings, one of the most moving moments in PC gaming history!

Some of the scores in HW were immense - gave you a real feel of 'buildup' as you were struggling to get your forces ready for the incoming/fight ahead
