Horizon: Forbidden West

But nobody is paying £70 for PS5 games - they certainly shouldn't be.
Currys will take £51 for the PS4 version of this game, which will net you a free upgrade to the PS5 version. If you want the PS5 version so you've got your copy of the game on the disc (so no downloading) and to match your library - £59.50

The pricing for HFW is only reasonable-ish because you can buy the PS4 version and get the free upgrade which makes it ~£50 most places. Something like GT7 for example on PS5 is £60-70 everywhere retail at the moment. Rumours that you may be able to upgrade from the PS4 version of that to ps5 for ~£10 though but that's not going to save you anything as it's ~£50 on PS4.

Most of the places selling the PS5 version are charging the full £70 and don't seem interested in offering anything off the RRP! I think it's very hard to argue against the fact that there's clearly a lot of price gouging going on when it comes to PS5 games!

I won't be buying at launch for PS5 as I still got the 1st one to play through and then will be moving onto GT7. Do we know yet if there will be any expansions like the 1st one?

the PS5 version is less than £40 if you buy it from the Turkish store. I don't mind buying digital for this as have no intention of selling it on.

If you have bought the PS5 version at £69.99 or the Deluxe Edition at £79.99, you can start your 98GB preload now.

If you're buying the PS4 version but taking advantage of the free upgrade to PS5, you have to wait until release day.

You can now preload the game on both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
The PS5 EU version is almost 100 GB big due to the multiple languages that's not included in the other versions.

PS5 All Regions Size:
EU: 97.027 GB
US: 86.588 GB
JP: 82.783 GB

That's a bit silly, the additional language packs can be downloaded/installed separately on other games.

I wonder how big the map is going to be. We know San Francisco is in it, I’m hoping the ruins of Las Vegas are too.

Preload should start shortly, some great games coming out over the next couple of months but HZD2 is by far the one I’m most looking forward to.

They are 570 miles apart (by road) so it would have to be something off the main map that you travel to.

Either that or the actual Gameworld is going to have to be very compacted, which would break immersion somewhat.

The first games map was pretty compact spread over several western US states.

Well the first game had Denver and Lake Powell, I believe which is about 400 miles distance and Colorado Springs to Yellowstone (Frozen Wilds) is 500 miles. This new game is supposed to be bigger. I doubt it will have Vegas though, I'm sure they would have shown that. Maybe it will be San Francisco to Seattle mainly along the west coast? That's about 800 miles.

I bought horizon zero dawn on day of release but couldn’t get into it found it difficult and seemed stealth based. I started playing it last week playing it on easy and I love it. I pre ordered forbidden west but I’m only around 5 hours into the game still dying
Is it ok to watch the story on you tube and play the new one next week?

I will still play horizon zero dawn until next Friday and once I finish forbidden west I will go back to horizon zero dawn and do dlc and side missions too. I might even try the witcher and other games of this genre as I’m really enjoying it since lowering the difficulty
