Horizon: Zero Dawn [PS4]

Ok, I finally bought the game so I can actually experience it myself instead of gazing at videos and playing some bits at my friend's:p

What difficulty should I start on? I like a fair bit of challenge but the game is quite hard even on normal from what I've gathered.

I'd say the opposite, it's quite an easy game.

I played it on the hardest difficulty, not something I usually do, and found the difficulty just right.

Ok, then maybe I'll try very hard as well, can always dial it back anyways. The only thing that bothers me is the longer grind for resources on higher difficulties.

Normal is silly easy. I was watching some clips last night and people were killling bosses under a minute just spamming arrows.

Started this a few days ago. Should easily be game of the year for me.

Just on the road to Merdian and took down my first Stormbird :D

Think I'll be doing all the side stuff first and stretch the game out as much as I can.

The side quests were very good. Some with twists and some felt as long as if you were on the main story. Quite a bit of travelling as well.

Just had a go, this game looks ridiculous. I'm amazed at the world they created and the cutscenes are beautiful. How is this even possible with such stellar performance?
Nice animations as well and the story is interesting so far.

Just finished the game. This being my first PS4 game ever and I am greatly impressed :D
What did you pick at the end of the Nil quest line? I accepted the duel and killed him and end was just meh.
Anyone can tell me how did it went if you declined the duel?

I hope there is DLC of some sort for this NPC. Interested to see what he will learn/do with Hades.

Love heart option. Made sense to have all allies.

True!

Smashed out a load of the main story today and had a play with the photo mode :)

New patch looks good. Though I'll probably 100% by then :p

Played some more and got some upgrades, climbed my first tallneck and this is really getting fun now. Going with very hard was a good choice. The game looks downright spectacular at times.

The only things I don't like is the climbing (it feels very fluid but I hoped we'd be able to climb rocks more freely) and the day-night transitions (way too fast).

I'm pouring all the gaming time I get into this and Zelda (which is spectacularly good).

Can any one recommend weapons to get? im struggling to work out whats actually any good, im using carja bows etc and going to areas where im 3 levels higher and doing sod all damage to them
