Horizon: Zero Dawn [PS4]

So I'm level 24, not even at meridan yet and I keep getting distracted etc. However I still feel weak my armor seems **** as do my weapons even with mods on, they are of the carja variety

You haven't been into any of the Cauldrons yet, I hope? What have you found the hardest to fight so far?
Yeah cleared some cauldrons all ready :) I'd have to check there names I logged off for the night. Should I not of gone in them yet??

Cauldron wise cleared sigma and rho, done two tall necks aswell

Usually if you're weak on gear Cauldrons are hard. I went into Sigma once with only green gear. The fire Bellowback took forever.

Though cannot wait to try it on Ultra Hard.

They took me awhile and I did die couple times but still did it, the main quest level for where I am is 15, so from that point I'm over levelled I guess lol

D’you think these console-only games are ever compiled to PC executables for them to play on Windows as a bit of a side project to see how they perform? Will someone at Guerilla be playing this at 4K60 on a Titan? :p

Do you think it will get a PS5 remaster for 4K60?

Think I know why I'm making this game harder.. So just got to level 26, main quest line is for 12, I have also just been hunting down tall necks/cauldrons and most of time enemies in between wipe me out at times. Long legs do my head in as do the invisible stalker. My weapons just suck

The movement on some of those Longlegs are crazy at least on Ultra Hard. I've not faced a Stalker on Ultra Hard yet but 3 of them were a bit chaotic on Very Hard.

I just don't do enough damage to anything. I suspect I may be able to buy better stuff in meridan the game gives me the impression it's like a massive city.

I loved the journey to Meridian on my Strider and its music though I arrived by day. Was sunny the whole time. Loved that whole new experience. Let alone trotting along taking in all the scenery.

I have so far walked past it! I'm hunting all the tall necks even then the change in areas is very noticeable and it always feels fresh. Love the game so far just hit level 30

I had a hard time at first with the stalkers. Just keep hitting them with Shock arrows if you can't override them, as it stops them going invisible and them pound them with hardpoint arrows. You can also take out their stealth generator with a tear arrow. Luckily I have done the cauldron that lets me override them.

Long Legs go down easily with a couple of detonating blast traps. Just set a couple side by side and boom.

One thing that is annoying imo is if you step slightly out of an area you are fighting in all the dam enemies seem to respawn or get their health/components back. I had that stupid Storm Bird stripped of all its components only for me to fall down the side of a slope. When I climbed back around it had regenerated all of it's health and components :(

Sometimes the way the game goes it feels like fighting Agent Smith.

You're not targeting weakspots properly and possibly not using the right ammo. Use your focus to highlight them if you aren't already. ;)

Hit the radar on scrappers for massive damage, hit eyes on watchers for 1 shot.. You can also use the correct elemental ammo on resource canisters. Eg: hit a bunch of grazers on their blaze canisters with fire arrows and wait a few seconds. ;)

Freezing enemies will also increase damage you do massively. Tearblast, followed by freeze ammo and hardpoint/precision arrows to weakspots will dispatch enemies quickly.

I do that but still seems not enough, the only enemy i cannot kill regardless and i think the enemy is utter ******** is the rockbreakers? Te ones that disappear under ground. Even using the arrows that there weak against seems to make no difference it barely hurts them,

What enhancements are you using on your weapons? Also are you double or triple notching on your opening shot?

As for rockbreakers, moving around very slowly, planting about 10 blast wires and jumping on the spot then running sorts them out pretty quickly. ;) If you're talking about the 2 together then you can cheese them from the ridge over the river.
