Frostclaws, fireclaws and scorchers made the main game seem like a cake walk. Every fight with them is challenging. I love it.
The bears were awesome when they got up on their back legs.

Personally I hated the glint hawks. Having them around in combination with other powerful enemies is a pain in the butt.
I either used Stealth gear to sneak past them or geared up with Ice-proof armour and took them out in the chest.
Is it bad that I rarely bothered to change out my kit for better stats? lol.
I'm lazy, I go for balanced stats on clothing normally unless it's something I can't do without it.
Is it worth doing the tutorial quests for the weapons ? Other than for the XP not sure whether I can be bothered.
Probably not, you'll likely just naturally complete them by playing.
You do need to activate them, though, I recall?
I just flicked through them every so often and when I saw one where I thought "oh I'll probably be doing that in the next hour anyway" I'd switch it on and then change it when I'd completed it.
Hmm, could be yeah, although I think they might automatically activate when you get the weapon. I had one for the Carja Tripcaster and ended up doing the trial where I had to use it, and it completed both the trial and the tutorial mission in one go.
Turning off the default auto-aim on PC was definitely a good move. It made it harder, but it was just too easy with auto-aim on.

It really is one of those games that just looks great, some mods out there that might be worth adding for RT too...Just got this and really loving it, looks beautiful maxed out at 4K.
