Horizon Zero Dawn

Turning off the default auto-aim on PC was definitely a good move. It made it harder, but it was just too easy with auto-aim on.

Personally I hated the glint hawks. Having them around in combination with other powerful enemies is a pain in the butt.

I've recently just finished this + the DLC on PS4 (got it on the free giveaway). Loved the game. Normally play on PC but it was free so why not. I'm crap at aiming with controller so that was an issue but I got on with it. The story is great overall. Make sure you get the bow (war bow I think?) that gives you tear blast arrows. I completely skipped that one until near end game, which was mistake as it makes fighting thunderjaws way easier as it just blows off nearly all their weapons as longs you hit them. the shield armor is OP, probably wouldn't have survived the DLC without it :)

I'm lazy, I go for balanced stats on clothing normally unless it's something I can't do without it.

I spent many hours in the stealth suit for exploring. That was fun including stealth takedowns. Though I loved the fire suit? the black one that exposed her abs? That was a sexy costume. :D

Just got this for £16 off CD keys the complete edition. Just finished Days Gone recently so trying this and its a little rinse and repeat. Find (!) instead of (?) start a side quest go here, follow the tracks, examine, follow the tracks, examine till you find the end result.

Noticed too once I cleared an area and went back they had spawned again, at least on Days Gone they stayed dead.

Still at the beginning just got the tame option parked my ride went on a side quest, then looked at my toolbox thinking I could call my ride but the option had gone ! Guess they dont stay tame for long.

Is it worth doing the tutorial quests for the weapons ? Other than for the XP not sure whether I can be bothered.

Probably not, you'll likely just naturally complete them by playing.

You do need to activate them, though, I recall?

I just flicked through them every so often and when I saw one where I thought "oh I'll probably be doing that in the next hour anyway" I'd switch it on and then change it when I'd completed it.

Hmm, could be yeah, although I think they might automatically activate when you get the weapon. I had one for the Carja Tripcaster and ended up doing the trial where I had to use it, and it completed both the trial and the tutorial mission in one go.

Yeah, it's a bit of annoying system since I don't think the game tells you you need to have the quests active to complete them. I do remember wondering at one point why I'd not completed a lot of them when I'd clearly achieved their goals - because they weren't selected or the game had swapped to another active one and I'd not noticed.

You don't get that much reward for them, but I was very midly annoyed at the time that I'd not been getting credit for things I'd done with the different kit.

Glint Hawks were pests, I'd kill other machines and they would be stealing my materials. So I whipped out the fire arrows and spammed them. Granted some flew off with my hearts from other machines twinkling in the sky while I was having other battles.
