Is there some reason you dont believe him or are you all being a bunch of ***** for the sake of it?

Poor bugger is probably sorry that instead of trying to help, he should have gone to the vilage shop for a loaf of hovis to balance on the dead drivers head.

This is the internet, people do sometimes make things up. When someone comes up with a fantastic story of heroism and a tragic death, and there is nothing about it in the media, it does raise eyebrows. When the OP declines to name the location where it happened, it raises further eyebrows.

Nobody is saying that but people should not beleive everything they read on the internet and I must admit I would have expected it to be covered in some news story by now.

Throw into the mix that the OP will only state the county and although it's a route he takes his gf to work every day, he doesn't know the name of the village as the car took out the village name sign, I can see why people are now starting to ask questions and doubt his story.

Oh right, so all this fuss is because someone might have lied in the internet?

If thats the case, why care, why not just let the thread die?

If the OP did what he said he did, he deserves a medal.

It is a tragic story and if it is true I would like to learn about the people involved and what happened - just natural human curiosity really.

This story is false. The only medal he deserves is a medal for his "story telling".

Close thread unless news story is posted imo.

I'm not sure. The opening post has enough detail to be genuine. Then again the OP has a reputation and there are doubts emerging.

I think the thread should be left open until the truth is proven one way or the other.

To all of those who automatically believe this story to be true let me ask you something,if a friend came upto you and told you the exact same story would you believe him if there were no reports of it in the press?

Not everything makes it into the news.

A car was cut in half and the driver killed on my road and there was no report of it in the news.

How do i know this you ask?

I had to drive up a side road on the way to work on the orders of the police. This meant i looked down the hill to see what was going on and saw a car in half and the drive in the middle of the road. It had just happened around 10 mins before i arrived. And the aumblance is a good 20 minutes away at best.

yea that is true, There was a huge car crash by my house well just round the corner to where i live a motorbike hit the side of a car flew over the top of it. The road was a complete mess the family in the car was quite badly injured and the guy on the bike died.

Yet that never made it to the press..... and im pretty sure i didnt dream it up either.

Some times stuff like this just gets ignored

About 10 years ago I was first on the scene at an accident in New Inn Lane, Trentham.
There were 4 young people in the car and it was on its side up against a lamp post.
I did what I could by getting other people to talk to the injured and trying to give CPR until the Paramedics came.
The following day I was in shock and taken to my works surgery where the sister contacted the hospital.
One lad was dead but the other 3 were going to live and guess what? - it never made our Sentinel.

Like I posted earlier - there was another story in Ireland where a father had cut his daughters legs off with a lawnmower but it didn't make the local papers until a couple of weeks later when a manager of a football team visited her.
The OP in that was called a liar too.

I do find it strange that Psychas is posting in other threads without answering this.
He could be in shock though.

I single-handedly stopped a plane from being hijacked yesterday, using nothing more than a plastic knife that is shaped like a spoon, a packet of Pringles and a shoe lace.

The fact he is posting in other threads but chooses not to post in here with an explanation or an update seems a bit fishy to me

What a very sad individual if he is indeed telling a fib or two.

Really really sorry if indeed you are not making the story up, just the internet can be a funny place for made up stories like this.
