HOT HOT HOT

No, remember that different people cope with different levels of heat differently.

I tell you what, I prefer cold weather and you obviously prefer hot ... so i'll put my head in my fridge with it on maximum for half and hour and you do the same with your oven up at it's maximum temperature ... then we'll see who is doing better after that.

No I prefer WARM-HOT from the south with some fantastic thunderstorms, not warm weather with a cool/cold breeze off the north sea. I like COLD weather in winter, summer is meant for summer and that means warm/hot weather.

In this country you could have the odd week here and there of HOT weather which is a big woop. But cold weather? that's a far more dominant feature, was you wearing T-shirts and shorts in the snow :p

Or just don't deal we'll with the heat. Fair haired people, like myself, tend not to. I've not got an ounce of excess fat on me.

Or if you're used to Scottish weather, cool, rainy nearly all year then hit with weather like this.

It's what you're used to. If we got this kind of weather all the time I could adjust but a few weeks of this then it's back to rain/cool/nearly cold you can't adjust. Plus the fact we don't have air conditioning. Also the amount of hot weather we get, having air conditioning isn't worth it. This is been the hottest I can remember in the past 4 - 5 years. Nearly every year recently wet/cool summers. How can you adjust to that?

If I could get endless months of this I'd be happy but it never happens. Lucky if we get a straight week of this then it's thunder and lightning rain storms for a while before it returns or settles back to cool conditions. Slaughtered again when the heat returns, rinse and repeat.

You need to move near the coast by the sounds of it. It's been pretty hot over here in Fife the past couple of days but living beside the beach it isn't too bad with the breeze when out and about. Used to live in in south Scotland about 20 miles inland and the kinda temps we have just now always felt much stuffier there. I vaguely remember a summer in the early 90's we had something like 32C temps, i only remember it as we'd cycled the coast that day and i ended up with sun stroke when we were meant to go over to Dumfries for Guid Neighbours. This is nothing compared to that one lol.

I moved over here 4 years ago and can't remember any of the previous 3 summers being this good, i think we've had more sunshine this year than we had total last year lol.

I think I need to open up my PC and give it a good cleaning out. Its started pumping out an insane amount of heat from the top fans. RealTemp shows the 4 cores pushing into the 90s when playing a game.

Added to the 26 degree heat outside, its turning my bedroom into a blast furnace =/

Last year was horrid. Only got 1 week like this end of April then the entire summer and rest of the year was wet.

Who plays video games in the summer? :o This weather is too good for that.

Yeah, i was off work that week (might be my memory but i remember it being May/June) although i remember it. Went to the beach the first day for a bit of a tan (redness) in a whole 19C then got set about decorating the house the rest of the week thinking it's only the start of the summer. That was the summer lol :p

Need to close the curtains to keep the heat out. Damned sunshine, hate it so much. :p:p

Everybody says this yet the two houses I've lived in, anytime I've shut the curtains in hot weather the room heat multiplies. Light and heavy curtains it made no difference. The room just got more stuffier. Every door and room in the house is wide open on weather like this and sworn by it for years. Can feel the breeze circulating from time to time and can be quite lovely.
