How do you store your eggs?

Fridge, why keep them anywhere else, the fridge we have comes with a tray specficially for eggs, or Creme Eggs :)

Keep ours on the worktop in one of those chicken shaped egg holder things.

Go through them so fast there is never likely to be an issue of them going bad :p

In your opinion.

Not in my opinion, my opinion is out the fridge entirely.
If your going to religiously belive the store in fridge label. At least know the safety rule which is, put at back of fridge and out of the constant temprature change zone.

Keep the eggs in their carton and place them in the coldest part of the refrigerator, not in the door. Storing eggs in the refrigerator door could lead to temperature fluctuations that can lead to bacteria growth

Well I store half a lemon in mine.

Sometimes triangles of cream cheese end up in there too.;)
Take it out and use as a shelf.

Why would a fridge come with an egg holder if you're not supposed to sort eggs in it?

Marketing. Pure and simple, due to the fact people expect it. You don't need to put eggs in the fridge full stop and if you do out of safety concerns, then they shouldn't be put in the door.

We've always stored our eggs in the fridge door without problem. That site also states that you should store your eggs in the fridge, you don't, why is this? I mean after all it's a 'safety rule'.

How is it Totaly rubbish? And that's not the only site check uk food agency or FDSA
No one on here has got I'll from storing out of the fridge either.

Becuase it's stupid health and safety, designed for the lowest common denominator. To make it an easy messge to preach, so thick people don't get confused. With it, all common sense goes out the windows and the public are worse off. Kind of the opposite to goverment plans.

So why do people follow one rule religusly and ignore others?
There's absolutely no need to store eggs in fridge, but if you do for safety concerns, shouldnt you follow all the rules.
