How far/long is your commute?

Lived here almost 15 years and not really ventured into many places since Gunwharf went live but to be honest it's only the past year or so that I've taken a vested interest in wanting to eat out and experience these things.

Restaraunts and things have only really been reserved for very special occasions so maybe a few times a year when visiting friends/family in other towns but more locally here previous to this if out with friends then it would be Nando's only or something more basic, nobody wants to spend too much money even though if the product or service is good then I don't bat an eyelid at the thought of paying a bit extra!

Yeh when I lived at home we would only ever go out to eat if it was a special occasion, even takeaways were quite rare. However I enjoy eating out and trying new places that you may not notice etc (Bath has a mass of cool places). I don't mind spending the money as I enjoy it but can understand why others do.

25 miles each way. Up to an hour during school term time due to extra traffic. 35-40 minutes out of term time.

Took an extra 30 minutes today due to an accident and broken down car. Always seem to get loads of holdups when it rains a lot :(

Today it was 55 miles, taking about 1.5 hours each way. Left at about 9:00, got there about 10:30, set off back at 11:45 arrived home about 13:20. All that way for an hours work and 8 hours pay.

Tomorrow it will be about 25 miles and 40 minutes each way, but should be a full days work.
