How far/long is your commute?

11 miles each way, 15 minutes in school holidays or 30 minutes at all other times. Couldn't do any more than an hour each way to be honest.

Half a mile. I usually walk, unless I need the car to do a site visit during the day or it's torrentially raining.

Do I miss commuting by car? Hell no!

32 miles each way. 35 minutes. Got to love rural Scotland, traffic? What traffic? Lovely drive up the east coast, over some hills.

7 miles, south london traffic. ~45mins-1hr if its bad.

Bit annoying, but that's life.

0.6 mile walk to train station. Sometimes ill catch a bus in the morning to the next stop which is about 0.8 mile as i have a week pass so might as well. But I always walk home from the train station in the evenings.

Then i catch a over land train to stratford or liverpool street. If i catch the direct train I can do the door to door in 30 mins. But the direct train is once an hour so i rarely catch it. The slow train takes 1 hour door to door. But three days a week i work in chancery lane so i have to switch at stratford or liverpool street on to central line, usually stratford because the walk is shorter to the next train. But that journey usually takes just over an hour. The slow train is painful it stops about 8 times and moves ridiculously slow. The train is also one of the realy old ones. The direct train is nice though, nice seats and no undesirables.

It is only 17 miles.

Both ways - 20 minutes bus, then 20 minutes walk. I'm all for the idea of living and working in the same town. Sure, special occasions like Alton Towers would warrant a 3-hour round trip, but I think it's pointless to have to commute 3 hours round trip 5 days a week just to be in the workplace for 8 hours each time.

Bo'ness to Edinburgh Airport. Roughly 10 miles. M9 nearly the whole way, by car it takes about 20mins. Always miss the rush hour as I work shifts, but the road works on the M9 as part of the new Forth Crossing Project add about 5mins these days.

39.2 miles across entire London each way. Depending on traffic conditions I spend between 2h45m to 4h hours a day in my car.

24 miles and 35 minutes each way. Other than the fuel cost, I actually enjoy it. Audiobook/R4 on in the car and a nice relaxing 50-60mph drive.

For about 5 months I did a 44 mile and 70 minute commute and thought that was long, but judging by this thread, it's not uncommon.

3 days left of a 1hr30 minute train ride. I've quit London and gotten a job 20 minutes from home :).

I will be cycling, so about 40 mins each way.
