How fast is your Photoshop ?

It's a beast for this stuff, 3D work on Terragen, Vue and Bryce is a newfound pleasure.

Lots more speed to be had for sure, but I am a noob to overclocking. Quite frankly, I don't know what I am doing at all in that regard :p
 
Hehe, after a month, i managed to save that picture! (Taiwan earthquake n all).

Dell Laptop

1.66Ghz Core duo
1gb ram
Photoshop 7.0

55 seconds
 
XP64
AMD64 3000+ "venice"
1GB Geil Value RAM

CS2-1min27.5 with firefox running+ other guff running
CS2-1min26.8 with anti-virus etc apps shutdown
Photoshop VI -10min and counting when my PC crashed

E6400 2 gig of ddr400 mem, win 64


1min 46 seconds on old system of p4 2.8 1 gig ddr333 mem, win xp

EDIT

changed memmory to 4 gig of ddr2 and it made a wopping 4 seconds differenc to 38.33 seconds in CS 2

24.93 seconds in CS3

No overclocking at all

Photoshop CS2 v9.02: 38.3 seconds
Photoshop CS3 Beta: 24.1 seconds

Who'd have thought that CS3 would perform the same operation 14.2 seconds faster? That's a 37% speed gain :eek:

Small wonder that I'll be upgrading to CS3 when it's released ;)

Yeah, I used to - I more or less switched over to DoD:Source when that came out since the TO community was shrinking... that, and the fact that every public server seemed to have cheaters/hackers that took all the fun out of the game.

I take it you recognised my handle from either the game or TO forums? :)

32 seconds with a fair amount of junk running background (BT, Firefox, MSN, P2P & 7 other 3rd party apps).

E6300 @ 2.8Ghz
2GB Crucial 10th Anni kit

Asus P5B Deluxe

I wonder how quick it'll be booted up at 3.7ghz :D
