How many days off work do you get a year?

26 + BH some years I struggle to use them so "sell" few days back
While not officially, we do get flexi time so if I need half a day off it's no problem to take it. Actually I'm on half a day today :)

30 days initially + bank holidays + option to purchase 5 more + an additional 5 days study leave per year for continued professional development.

12 + public holidays and the days between Xmas n new year. According to some friends, my 12 days is generous.

33 + BH with the option to buy 5 more days.

Also am entitled to up to 2 weeks paid leave for domestic emergencies, up to 2 weeks paid leave for bereavement/serious illness and up to 2 weeks for carers leave - however if I took all of that i'd be getting hauled before the directors and occupational health.

Also entitled to 6mths full pay, 6mths half pay for sickness.

29 plus Bank holidays (but we have a madnatory closure at xmas so have to use 3 days there..or flexible leave)

plus up to 12 days flexible leave if you can put in the hours (you cant take a flexi day here unless you have accrued the credit)

25 + BH is normal, I get 28 + BH in my current job.

A lot of companies require you to take three days off between Christmas and New Year, which is annoying if you don't have family commitments and enjoy three quiet days at work.

Just take a couple of weeks off and go on holiday (avoiding Christian countries)

I had 25+BH. I've always made the assumption that lower salaries industry sectors usually got 20+BHs and higher paid sectors and government usually got 25+BH as an average. Perhaps wrong?

25 Days Annual Leave

7 "Leisure Days" - Accrued by working 38.2hrs per week rather than 37 (I don't tend to work less than 40hrs a week anyway)

8 Bank holidays

Plus around 3 days for "Christmas Shutdown"

....quite a bit

21 + Bank Holidays totalling 28. After 5 years of service we get another 5 days + 1 day for each subsequent year up to 12 max for a total of 40 days off.

We work every day except Christmas Day though, but we get paid double if our shift falls on 24th, 26th or 1st Jan.

Oh, and due to nature of our work we are not allowed any holidays between 10th~ Dec and 10th~ Jan (there ARE exceptions though)

29 + Bank Holidays.
I work in a school though, so can only take 10 of them days outside of school holidays.

Please keep in GD.

So my employer has a new portal which shows our total benefits package including quantifying the monetary value of holiday.

I get 25 days holiday + bank holidays (8 this year) + 3 days off between Christmas and New Year which comes to 36. I'll also get another 5 days off as annual leave after 5 years' service.

How much does everyone else get off, is this above average?

That is almost as good as the civil service!

When I use to work in the VAT department we got 47 days per year.

Since Ive worked in private sector ive never had anymore than 20+8.
