How many days off work do you get a year?

Standard 25+8, rising to 28+8 after 5 years service.

Really struggling at the moment though, not enjoying my role, feels like I'm trying to empty a bath with a spoon while both the taps are running.

20 + BH (8) and Christmas Eve to the 2nd Jan. So this years Christmas break i'll get 5 days.

21/22 + bank hols. Increases after 3/5 years service or something like that. But up to 2 days flexitime per month allowed if you've worked unpaid overtime. can carry over up to 5 per year.

My first job was 23, increasing by 1 for each year of service up to a max of 5. On top of that, we had a flexible benefits package where you could buy/sell hols, up to 5. So, we could have 33 + bank hols, which was amazing. Could also carry over up to 5 per year.

Not come across another engineering consulting company that does the same sadly.

20 days
8 BH
5 service days

were I work the same people year in year out use there sick as holidays, such as extra time off at Christmas, they sit at home on full pay for 10 weeks then 10 weeks on half pay, while every body else has to pick up the slack of them been off

28 days, I'm not sure if bank holidays are bundled into this, knowing my company they probably are. My company doesn't do anything over the legal minimum.

28 + BH

Also can buy and sell ~10 if desired (cost depends on salary) ... I tend to do neither.
We also tend to work pretty flexibly so you can spread these out by working from home rather than having to take days off for things.

As many as I want as I'm self employed
