How much exercise a week

I do quite a lot because I cycle to work and I try not to hang about. I also run once or twice a week 6k or more and recently took up stuff like triathlons and anything that will push me physically where I'll get completely filthy :D

100miles+ cycling per week - plus heavy lifting, lots of compound stuff 3-4 times a week, have to back off every 5th week though otherwise I crash and burn spectacularly!

prob. around 8 hours mainly weight training with some postworkout cardio
Also some kayaking training / kayaking recently.

monday - 5km running
tuesday - 90 minutes football practice
wednesday - 5km run + 120 minute football practice
thursday to sunday - 5km running everyday

How the hell do people find the time do this?

Leave the house at 8am get home at 6pm. Make dinner clean up done by 7:30. Sit down for 30 minutes so 8pm. Do an hours work/hour gaming 9:00pm, prepare for work next day, have bath/shower 10pm. Read/Internet/Watch Newsnight 11pm then bed. Rinse and repeat.

Time on weekend yes but most of that is either spend recovering from a hangover or doing more work.....

Do you guys actually have a real job?

cycle to and from work 1 mile each way monday - friday

Gym Full body workout compound lifts only m/w/f heavy as possible

skipping 30 mins tues/thurs at home.

Hardly any at the moment, although my job involves carrying ladders about all day so I suppose that's at least something.

My biggest hurdle is sleep. If I get woken up or the kids get up too early and disturb my sleep cycle, I can kiss goodbye to exercise later on because I feel too tired to bother doing it.

Oddly I'm in the process of turning my garage into a home gym, I hope that motivates me some more.

I generally get to the gym by 6pm after work and stay there till 7.30, by the time I'm home and eaten its about 8.30, still leaves me 3 and a half hours every evening to bum around my house, watch TV and game etc before I go to bed! :)

I generally go mountain biking somewhere on one day of the weekend too.

Looks like you have plenty time in there to go for a 30 minute run but are choosing to game/tv/internet instead? It wouldn't be hard to squeeze something in.

I'm normally home about 6, out for a run, back by 7 and eaten by 8. Rest of the night is then free to laze about or work.

You make time.

Dinner+ clean up takes an hour and a half? Lol. Just knock the gaming away and that gives you a free hour. If you want to do these things you just take the time (saying that, I'm a filthy student pahahaha)

7:30 to 9:30pm on Tuesday and Thursdays train with team
40 minutes individual recovery jog/cycle on Wed and Fri
70 minutes match on weekend, usually with a good 30 minutes exercise pre-game
20 minutes recovery exercise day after match

So probably around 6.5 hours a week currently.

I have to fit my exercise around my work, and it just takes commitment :)

My Mrs does a very similar routine on alternate days, so its pretty hectic!

Not as much as usual cause of work but usually gym 2 or 3 times a week and biking on Sundays (though weather is getting rubbish so soon to be gym on Sunday too) and some weights/press ups/sit up etc at home when I can be bothered. So in hours somewhere around 8 hours a week.

Plus if the weather is alright (Read not tipping with rain) 3 mile walk for work each day too. All this and I am still a fatty cause food is so nice haha.

I get home at about 17:20 and straight into my gym for 40 minutes.
Before 2008 I used to run 4.5 miles home from work so by around 17:10 I had done all my exercise unless I decided to add a bit.
Perhaps you could delay dinner by 30 minutes and get some exercise in at 18:00.

9 miles a week with a seven and a half stone dead of weight on the back of the push bike - cutting the grass (approx 1 hr per week), swimming for 1 hour twice a week, vacuuming the house top to bottom twice a week, chasing my daughter around the house and in the garden - loads and loads, loads of other stuff I can't think of......

Not much :o

5-6 km run 3 - 4 times a week - 105mins
1500 m row 3 - 4 times a week - 105mins
some pressups and situps 3 - 4 times a week - 45mins
some dumbell use 3 - 4 times a week - 45mins
Sometimes mix it up and swim, cross trainer or bike
Sauna/steam room ??

300 mins
~5 hours

Some weeks I will go only twice but others 6 times a week. When I stop going to the gym I get lazy and dont bother doing pressups, situps or using dumbells at home

At the moment im going about 5 times a week

Once a month is a big dance night - 7 hours of dancing soon melts off the pounds!
