How often do you turn off your PC?

Gets shut down very rarely. Probably 3 times in the past year to clean or to move it. My PC is used for work, gaming and as a plex server. I weighed up the costs and benefits (very scientifically ;)) of having separate solutions that could be turned off as needed, but found it was just simpler and easier to just have the one machine.

My handheld PC gets turned off after every gaming session on it.

pc and laptop(work) get shut down nightly unless I’m working on code that I don’t want to put off (so it’s staring at me when I turn on my monitor - but that’s rarely now).

I have two 24/7 servers that are low power draw though.

Every night it's not rendering something. Whether it's shut down when I'm away or not is dependent on the likelihood of me having to log into it to do something work related.

Power up only when I want to use it. Otherwise always powered down. Must admit I tend to use the power switch on the casing instead of using formal windows shutdown. Not had any issues doing this. Have I just been lucky?

Every time I finish using it, my Dad was a fireman so I've had tales of horror instilled into me about electrical fires since a little kid, even shut all doors when I go to bed as well.

turn it on in the morning, if I'm going out for any length of time then it gets switched off, otherwise it gets turned off late afternoon and back on as and when required. It does use a fair bit of power even at idle when you add it up over 8 hours or so.

Back in the days of MSN, only/mainly PC gaming and slow downloads I'd leave it on 24/7.

These days I only switch it on when using, as I can go days without using it due to consoles and phone/laptop. Ironically the tech is much more power efficient now, but still makes no sense to leave it on.
