*** How to obtain a bike license ***

Guy ended up in an ambulance on mine before we'd even left the car park, thankfully they didn't give him a certificate.

LOL :eek::D:p

Reminds me of my CBT, a guy dropped a bike on my leg. How can you not take a CG125 of an center stand? His dad was a biker too, he even got a lift on a bike to the CBT. I tilted the bike and moved out of the way though, just had scratches and a little bruise... :rolleyes:

Had a guy dump the clutch and end up wheelying 5m across the practice area on my CBT, he was a bit more careful on his second attempt lol. He also used the kill switch to turn the bike off as well as the key at one point, forgot he did this and couldn't turn it back on. Took the instructor 10 minutes of trying to start it, only for the other instructor who turned up with a replacement bike to hop on and start it straight away.

Did my theory a couple of months ago and turn 24 on Friday, so just waiting to finish house purchase then it'll be time to book DAS :D

Mod 1 passed, was previously rescheduled due to weather so that helped the nerves settle in. One minor for going too wide on the slalom but otherwise faultless. Mod 2 a week on Wednesday!

Nice one! I see that as the hard part over. Just be careful to make sure you are in the right lanes on roundabouts (they pick routes that have odd setups sometimes) and make sure you are aware of the speed limit of the road you are on

A2, I'm only 21 and given my size in height and "depth" didn't want to pootle around on a 125 for 3 years. Potential for me to be lucky regarding the discussed changes and not have to retake the tests for my A license. Currently looking at either the CBF500, Hornet, SV650 and Bandit for bike choices :)

True, better get this beast. :)

Doing my tests on an XJ6N but my £2k budget doesn't stretch far enough to afford one, which is a shame as I quite like it. Suspect I'll end up going for a naked of some sorts as they tend to offer more comfort from what I've seen.

Get SV650, its a good bike to learn on. I'm 187cm tall and I don't feel cramped on it...

The issue I had with the sv650 was the knee cut outs on the tank, my legs simply didn't fit!! It was the faired version though, however there's plenty of naked bikes out there that will fit the taller gentleman.

I'm 6'2" and did my MOD 1/2 on a SV650, and it cramped the hell out of my legs. It perhaps can be set up a bit better for a taller rider, but I was glad to get off it.

My perception is slightly skewed by riding a WR125x, and then jumping to a bigger SM, but the SV felt heavy to me, and I'd have to brake a lot more deeply on the fronts than I'm used to, to get it to slow / stop. I also remember it feeling a bit lumpy at lower gears / speeds.

Once moving it was fun though!
