Hi Guys,
Firmware is GIG045. I think you guys are missing the point, the LED on/off option works fine......but when you set the option to LED off and then switch the monitor off and then back on again, it seems to forget that the LED setting is off and switches the LED to the on state.
Clear as mud
I picked up this monitor a week ago, and so far I have been happy with it. I dont do any colour critical work, I mainly use it for gaming.
To get the most out of it I decided to get a calibrator. I got the Spyder2 second hand from ebay, for £30. It was so cheap I bought it without reading up on it, in fear of someone else snapping it up. However, I've now found it does not work well with my wide gamut screens.
Has anyone had any experience using the Spyder2 with this screen?
Like I said colour does not have to be perfect, would this calibrator be ok for a casual user like me who only really plays games and does office work.
Thanks in advance.
Try using the profiles on page 9 or on TFTCentral. Check as well that there isn't a cheap upgrade/trade in path to the Spyder3.
Thanks for the advice, I should get the spyder2 tomorrow, I have never used the software before. I'm guessing you can make manual ajustments to the profile.
Page 9? Is that a page in the calibration program?
Hi. Is there any form of audio out on this monitor. I want my PS3 to output the audio to the monitor via HDMI and then to put a lead to my speakers. I would go straight from PS3 to speakers but I lost my cable
yes there is an audio out jack
No there isn't, there's an S/PDif output which is digital, so as long as your amp can take a digital signal you'll be fine, but if not you'll need a DA converter.
My amp can't unfortunately. Good to know though. Out of interest: Which of these is the S/PDif? http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/images/hp_lp2475w/P1010994.JPG
