HP LP2475w, IPS 24" Official Thread! (Now Available from OcUK)

Wow, that black level measurement at 120cd/m2 is almost too low to believe for an IPS panel, looks like LG.Display have been hard at work improving IPS's shortcomings.

edit: should have kept reading, those calibrated values look damn good too, looks like I'll have to get that Eye One Display ordered :D

Once calibrated and the profile shoved into the graphics card LUT, were colours less saturated (reds and greens in particular)?

Oh, and didn't get that bit about why lacking a D-SUB was a problem, since the DVI interfaces are DVI-I (analogue and digital) and they provide a convertor cable?

The HP looks so industrial, like something you'd expect to see in a lab or government building - something stealthy!

Still reading btw ;)

Well just read the review and just licked my lips and fluttered my eyes somewhat.

Cannot wait! that black depth after calibration is immense, I could not get below 0.58 on the Hazro.

Also that service menu looks awesome, reminds me of the Dell 2007WFP again !

yes, colours looked much better after calibration, reds and greens were not as over-bearing. Appreciate there is a DVI-I interface, it's just odd to leave off VGA altogether i think...

mine are coming tonight, i cant wait now :D

Bad ass as im not calibrating it with a tool are they any good OSD Combination for a great picture?

well i'd def move to the custom color mode, lower brightness down to around 10 - 15, contrast to 65, then use my RGB settings listed in the review in the calibration section. use some software calibration tool if you can as well to help get it feeling right for you

Install the HP Display Assistant and have a play with it, got my colours looking ok as a stop gap before getting a colorimeter. It's also got a calibration plugin to manually setup the gamma curves.
