HP LP2475w, IPS 24" Official Thread! (Now Available from OcUK)

were not in business to make such small percentages on a product.

Well, in the same way, I don't really care how much profit you make.

If you won't offer it for a competitive price, then there is a rather well known company who I have dealt with numerous times and never had any problems offering it for £420 with free delivery.

Why anyone would pay more just for overclockers service is beyond me. The only thing that could persuade me would be a Dead Pixel check included in your inflated price.

Yep look at the hazro, originally it was £446, then OcUK changed the price to £458 so that they could bring it down to £448 for TWO a few days later. What a joke .

And now it's £469 haha fail

Yup, let's keep this about the monitor rather than criticising OcUK's pricing decisions - otherwise this useful thread is liable to get locked. Gibbo has explained his position, and I can understand where they are coming from completely.

That said...wow...two of the things! Are they that red in the flesh or is it exaggerated by the camera?

got mines today....cant fault it so far
on the hazro my ps3 would only display in HD with short HDMI leads, this HP is displaying 1080p over a 10m cable and switcher box no problem :D

Input Lag Really OK?

Man, this looks like the monitor I've been waiting for! I had been holding out for the Dell 2408WFP. Then once it was released with numerous flaws, continued holding out hoping it would get fixed. Now I am completely ready to abandon all hope for the Dell and purchase this new HP!

But, there just always seems to be one thing that's not quite perfect.

An input lag of 25 ms is pretty good, but why couldn't it be 7.5 ms!? :( I've heard some reassuring comments that FPS gaming in Counter Strike seems to be fine. I guess I just need to hear it from a few more people. Are games like COD4, UT3 and TF2 really playable without noticeable lag on this new monitor? Please say yes, but more importantly, be honest. Thanks.

to above i haven't changed any colours at all but the RED is not that bad i just relooked at the picture and its definite not as bad as the picture makes out.

im going to try CSS in a minute anyway so ill tell you if its noticeable but on desktop/Film it is not

Well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got home from work to be greeted by a huge box with HP logos planted around it :D

Looks like Citylink are overly enthusiastic in my area hehe as it's not meant to be delivered until tomorrow!

Will get pics and thoughts up shortly side by side with the Hazro.

Played a bit of Grid and it seemed fine, may get round to installing ET:QW soon, but in the middle of three massive projects at the moment that all need finishing next week

Damn what up with the pink tint ?
Never heard anyone mention anything about that ?

It's wide gamut, unless settings are tweaked there will be a shift into red and green, and as the posted said it looks nothing like that in real life and is just the camera.

I can confirm that there is no red tint on mine.

Initial results are no dead pixels, backlight is pretty uniform, brightness after factory reset is not as bright as the Hazro HZ24Wi also after a reset.

Stock colours are more vibrant than the Hazro (to be expected) and luminance at stock brightness of 90 is more comfortable as well.

Setup and Calibration about to start as soon as I box up the Hazro :)
