HP Reverb G2 uk release date?

Yeah. I can't fault SA here either. They have been pretty clear that they are frustrated too at the lack of info coming from HP.
HP usually is pretty good as well, especially from the lower level employees, just look at Reddit.
But this sounds like a typical demand/supply issue and HP has definitely dropped the ball.

Putting my half completed MBA hat on. This year has been a mess. If I was in a tech company like HP I would have actually cut forecasts due to the recession. I would not have expected a pandemic to increase demand for luxury items. It seems obvious looking back now, but production planning for this would have happened 6-12 months ago.

So this is just another 2020 cluster, albeit a small one.

Well, while we're waiting..

Let's jump forward to the day your G2 is on your doorstep. You rip the box open, plug it in, set it up. What's the first game you fire up?

For me it's going to be FS2020 assuming I can play it in VR at that point.

Fallout4 VR... Curie is still waiting for me to go back to Far Harbor and finish a couple of jobs. lol!

Is anybody here gets G2 as their first VR headset? I see some of you had Quest and the Rift etc before.
Been trying to get one for years, but there was always something with the other headsets I didn't like.
Bad IPD, standalone so not powerful enough, out of stock etc.

After many years of waiting and planning, this is it. So I really hope I will get it sooner or later.

I'm really hoping for some good news, big new batches every week so I can get it at least this year.

Automobilista 2,
Followed by half life alyx, restarting that one, as I started it on the quest 2, but that's being returned,
And Phasmorphia

Awesome question!

I think it'll be either seeing what Half Life Alyx should really look like (Only played it on the Quest via link) or Star Wars Squadrons, as I've resisted playing it in VR until the G2 turns up. I will test out FS2020 if the support is there, but I'm waiting for the helicopters to be released before I get into it.

Pinball.

There's a few photo realistic 4k tables in VPX VR that deserve a drooling over.

Zaccaria Pinball is already pin sharp visually and one of the best looking games in VR, id be lying if i said it wouldn't be the first:)

To change the subject a little, I saw that Mike from VR oasis has his hands on a final version and from Tyriel's reply to the tweet is sounds like he's got his one too.

Hopefully we can at least get some review content from the final units soon.

That would be good. I want to see if the new lenses that they are talking about make much of difference.

Hi,
I joined just to write this.
I ordered form systemactive on the 27-th of October. My order number is 4780ish. If these order numbers reflect the order date, then from late August there has not been many new orders indeed. link
Obviously I am in the "second batch - orders after 24.09.20" and I am due to receive my G2 in December. My speculation is that other resellers have it about the same as systemactive - i.e. there's much more orders in the so called first batch Due in November, than in the second batch. So that means that either HPs manufacturing will be able to stick with the delivery schedule (in my view it's unlikely). Or later orders form the first batch would we delivered in early December followed by second batch late December - January 2021 -and that is if we are lucky. I don't have any insider knowledge, so take it with a grain f salt.

Apparently the order number is no indication of where you are in the Queue. It was discussed a few pages back.

I'm actually worried that my Sept 15th Pre-order will be delivered next year.
That original pre-sept 24 first batch thing is not that relevant anymore as I think the first batch now shipped to retailers are just July or something.

No one knows anything at this point.

Finger crossed.

I was told this "We expect to fulfil over 1500 units before the end of the month which nearly clears all of the pre-orders. "

That seems to suggest that the pre-orders were around the 2k mark or less, not as big a number as the Bestware (Germany) partners had. That means (if accurate, and let's be honest, they got those figures from HP) December should be fine to mop up the rest. I really hope so.

Correct - I ordered on the 6th of July (Day one I think), and my order number is in the 1900's. The same order numbering system was used for other SKU's as well.

Oh, I see, then my speculation is probably wrong.

That was the case for Bestware, their first shipment from HP did not cover that many pre-orders, which is disturbing. Lets hope they have way more orders than systemactive, since they probably serve a large part of the EU including the UK to a degree. I am also hoping for the Q2 factor, maybe a number of G2 pre-orders got cancelled in favour of the other option.
But, yeah, I agree, no one knows for sure.

I'm personally looking forward to Virtual Reality Oasis and Tyriel Wood's view - they seem a little less Fanboyish. I like MRTV, but he sounds like a commercial. He also didn't mention that he didn't have working controllers until he was pushed - he was using the old reverb handsets.
