I phoned CPW today to try and get a partial refund on the case that I bought for £35 considering they half priced it the day after. They said no, I knew it was a long shot but worth a try anyway.

With the bank holiday plus it's usually 5 working days I suspect it will drop off automatically tomorrow if the order goes through they would just charge it again I would assume.

Let the dodgy link go!! You have more chance of getting one by going to the stores that let you reserve and collect and hoping someone forgets to collect and you can buy it up! (i.e. Argos, Comet, PCW, Currys etc).

Seriously though, I still reckon best bet (at this late stage) is just to scrounge people's leftover reservations that were not collected. Although it is a very time consuming exercise compared to checking your bank balance and "dodgy link" once an hour!!

Surely it is so long now since anyone was able to order from any of the above stores that the time for holding reservations would have long since gone anyway!

Hmmm, I have lost track now, but I think Argos were letting people extend reservations last Mon or Tue to 7 days. Long shot I know, but that is all most people are left with at this point.

They are only £89 because HP says so, they have a much higher "value" even without Android on them.

So more like £110/£140 2nd-hand in the new year for 16GB
