Yes I think Amazon will upset the market. The fenzy around the touchpad has highlighted price as the barrier and they'll want it in as many hands as possible. Especially with the nook colour 2 just announced.

What service did you use to buy shares?
 
Seriously guys, can we not just find a site that's selling them full price, and DDos it until they sell them at the lower prices? All we have to do is post it on HUKD...

Unless that isn't legal. In which case, i never said it...

"I've just spoken to a mate who used to be a Manager at Argos regarding differing info received from different staff and he said NO ONE (re members of staff) will know at this point whether the TPs will be sold instore only, online only, home delivery only, even top brass at Argos will not, AT THIS POINT, have decided how to retail them, the decision will only be made a couple of days before receiving the stock, as was the case with the Wii's and PS3's etc at Christmas (in the past few years). He also said when it is decided it will happen fast and as has happened before, staff will be able to buy one and one only.


He also thought, but could not confirm, that the rumours of Argos getting 400 in stock is not true, he said they will be getting more as Argos Group wouldn't buy just 400 at any one time, they nearly always get stocks of at least a couple of 1000 of big, very saleable items in demand.

I trust this mate, never let me down in the past. Make of it what you will.

By the way he is now a Manager at the DSI Group and says they are still awaiting further stock within the next couple of weeks"

Exactly. Some of these smaller companies will receive no compensation from HP. Why should they sell stock at £89/115 if it represents a loss to them, and for their troubles they will have their website f5'ed to death.

I saw on the 'other forum' today some people calling PCWB 'scumbags' because their orders hadn't come through - some people have really lost the plot over a tablet they didn't know existed til last week.
 
Id like to point out that i don't want to carry out any illegal acts. I just want my touchpad. I've slept so little in this last week and 4 days :(

PC World seems OK now... no Touchpads though, but they do show charging docks and cases for collection in store.

Currys is up again also, but not showing any availability at all for the above items.

Same here, logged onto cpw and bagged one each for my sister and goddaughter.

didn't need one for myself as I have a Xoom but got one off pcw just to mess around with when android etc comes out. :D
 
yeah that's it. It's frustrating actually, the GF was going to buy me a tablet for my birthday. So naturally when this arrived she confiscated it and now I'm not allowed it until the end of the month. I was only allowed to turn it on and make sure it works lol. Harsh :p

You should have seen their faces when I gave them their prezzies.

The goddaughter has almost worn out the screen already and stopped nicking her mums ipad as she prefers her toy :p

Mind you if I see any more available I am under orders to get some for others :rolleyes:
