Which freight forwarders do you use? I have just been googling this but haven't really turned up anything useful about costs :(

don't really know about such going to UK ... mine do ship only one-way (UK/France -> Bulgaria). try to find someone to recommend you a freight forwarder as not all are reliable enough for a hassle-free experience.

As revealed by The Reg yesterday, HP is bringing another 6,000 TouchPads to the UK – despite previously stating that the US would get the last of the dregs – but staff will get priority supply on a first-come-first-served basis.

PSG UK and Ireland director Paul Hunter confirmed that channel partners would not get access to the kit but it seems that Carphone Warehouse will be allocated some.

A representative of Carphone Warehouse confirmed it will be taking a "very limited" number of TouchPads "at a select number of stores across the UK", but the firm did not reveal the specifics of the deal.

Looks like a call or queing from tomorrow may be a good idea as long as shop employees don't bag them......

Not for me I have all I need and will only get another 1 (64gb) if possible and sale my 16gb to a workmate.

If you look at HDUK thread on it, a cpw manager has posted which stores are getting the touchpads and how many.

However, I think the most any store is getting is 20 (Arndale Manchester) and a lot are getting zero and when people have rung the stores they have been told that all the incoming stock has been reserved by staff so unlikely any will get bought by the public but expect to see them on sale next week on Ebay. Staff have been told they are allowed to buy a maximum of 2 each from an internal memo they posted on the thread as well. With most stores only getting 2 or 3 touchpads and having more staff than that, the odds are poor.

For those hoping on JL, from HDUK.
"Just on the phone to John Lewis. The very helpful guy (Seeing a trend here...) told me that there is was a reason they were brought back online, but he wasn't sure. He checked his systems and said that there was nothing due to come in stock for either the 16,32 or 64 gb mobdels.

However he did say there was a strong chance that they may have secured some stock from a distributor in the UK, that hasn't been confirmed yet, hence it isn't on the system. From what he said there are still several thousand units hanging about in storage in the UK, so the fact that they have been put back online (albeit out of stock) there is a strong possibility they will be restocked soon, despite their systems showing otherwise."
 
Anyone else waiting for a dispatched email from PCW on the 32GB model? Phone lines are busy and don't fancy holding...

Last I heard they OOS on accessories? a communication email would've been nice... :(

How strange... but as you say, they have now been removed... again!

It doesn't looks too hopeful for this Saturday now then, and it isn't looking too hopeful for anyone (other than their staff!) who was hoping to get one from CPW either. :(

What time did you order?... I received my 'bundle' yesterday, delivered to my door by a very attractive brunette from Yodel! :)

Just tested it out, absolutely smooth (I'm overclocked to 1.5GHz)

It was also a good demonstration of how good the sound on the TP is, watched it holding the TP on my palm and there was almost a rumble effect as the cars went by:)

Just got a dispatched email! Did email PCW to cancel, but now may keep it... :)

I was just about to reply to your earlier post, but I am pleased to see that you have finally received a dispatched email... not really sure why it took them quite so long though.

At least you should now receive it tomorrow! :)
