Oh to keep this on topic I downloaded shootme but when I shake to take a screenshot of my home screen several of the widget icons vanish just at the second the pic is taken. I prefer picme

Ur doing it wrong.

How long are you shaking it for?

There's something a foot here. With shootme not running the home screen blanks out and redraws losing the icons.

It was to do with the auto rotation of the screen. If I shook it side to side it would try and rotate then stop trying and redraw the screen. If I shake it up and down then all is good. Not unlike masturbation.

That clock/weather/date looks good. Hate having to scroll the blind down to see the date...

I use Weather Forecast Widget v2 by Francois Deslandes and DigiClock Widget by David Goemans.

Er I have the retro clock widget but hardly use it. Might put it on one of the other home screens. I use Weatherbug as my weather app. I found the Weather Channel one too fidgety and not very good at presenting the info the way I wanted it.

I've heard of JSWeather but I can't find it anywhere!

The only way to get it running on the Magic, afaik, is to use a Hero rom on a rooted Magic. Others may know different.

And from what I've read it runs ok.

Anyone tempted to purchase a Google Nexus One in January?

If the rumoured rebate/discounts turn out to be true, then I could be parting with the Magic.

It really depends on whether we'll be able to install custom ROMs on the Nexus as easily as the Magic.

I've succumbed to the 1GHz CPU and 3.7" 800x480 resolution screen.

Jan for the States I think but no confirmation for the UK yet.

Is there any way to increase the number of home screens on the Magic? I've had a quick google and it looks like needing to install something off a Hero?
