MarcLister yesterday

I don't know if this will work but an app called Advanced Launcher can give you more home screens but all I've been reading says from a standard 3 screens up to 5.

No harm in trying.

what is involved in the custom rom flashing/upgrading of one of these ? will i need windows ?

I've always had 5 screens, thought that was the norm with Cyanogen. Hmmmm, must investigate.

Not sure if you can any of the steps that need Windows on another OS:

If you have Android 1.5 on your Magic it is straight forward. If, like me, you have 1.6 then think again.

I used to have folders for games and most used apps etc... but after having to do a factory reset i've been very picky about the apps I have. I found it much quicker with the less apps installed.

I don't need/use 5 home screens. I prefer a minimalist look with the middle screen with a few things on and a couple of things on the screen to the right and thats it.

Just checked and only 3 home screens.

Hmmm, I dont have Advanced Launcher, but i defiantly have 5 screens and like Marc, i use them all. lol

Cyanogen did tweet that he was thinking of starting a new experimental version.

Have you deffo NOT got 5 screens? Are you scrolling all the way properly?

Sorry thought you may have been one of the guys stuck on 1.6.

From what i've read some themes reduce your home screens back to 3, other than that, i cant think what else it could be....

I'm too dang cool to be on 1.6. :cool:

Think I've solved it. Because I only had content on two screens I could only see the first home screen and the two on the right plus one on the left. I've added content to the most right screen you can get and I'm adding content to the first left home screen to get me access to the most left one.
