From what i can tell, the answer is no.

There are 2 different version of the magic.

The Vodaphone ( With Google ) and Magic ( Rogers ) version.

The VF magic has 192mb of ram and the Rogers having the 288mb ram.

From what i can tell there is a stock rom for the Rogers version but not the VF version. :(

I will keep looking around tho to see what i can find.

There are a few other roms i want to try out so will report back on what i can get to work and what runs good on the phone.

Stewie Griffin & FMJ sound boards are also quite funny.

I put the ION rom on last night, and its is very fast and stable.

Think i will be sticking with this one for now :)

Ohh i will try and get a guide together over the weekend.
 
Excellent, by the loks of it it sounds liek it's much faster than stock HTC Magic (Vodafone) rom too!

Will update to this I think but a guide would be great :)
 
Thats a pretty good guide and not far off what i used :)


Get the android SDK installed and use the usb drivers in the sdk.

Always use nandroid to backup first :) this is a must :P


But apart from that its not that hard.

Quick Q, has anyone notcied the plastic at the side of the screen seems to be loose ?

You can press it in on both sides and it makes a slight clicking noise, as if it dosent fit correctly.
 
The default keyboard on ION, if you flip it sideways does it become QWERTY? by the looks of it it's only a softkeyboard if it vertical mode - if so then that's not a huge issue I guess.

Also, I may be a little stuck :p

Will just wait until I get home I think!
 
I think I found somthing new today since the update - when you're in contacts and hold the right scroll bar, you get the pop out showing you what letter you're on.

I bet thats not new tho :)
 
It appears to be a qwerty kb either way its flipped.

One thing about this ION rom is the battery life has increased greatly.

I use it for 30 mins music while cycling to work texting a lot and some browsing.

With everything turned off on both roms gps / wifi etc.

Usally by now the battery is about 60 - 70%

my battery is still at 92%, so they have done an amazing job on this rom
