HTC Vive

Just received my Vive and OMG, I did not realise how big this box would be! Took all the stuff out, saw the useless instructions, threw them back in the box, then realised that it was easy, very easy to put everything together. Tried it out in my room with an exact 2.2m x 1.5m play area (phew) and tried the room. Very cool!

Now the England match is on so I'm watching that lol.

BTW, where are the game codes? Are they sent via email?

Yes you should receive an email for the games, the vive is one of the best things I have bought for gaming since the original xbox :)

Some guy on Steam forum using Amazon 7.5M HDMI and Lindy 7.5M USB without issues.

The Link box supplies power so it seems to work fine, remember reading a post from one guy using 10M cables from PC to Link box without issues also.

Believe I read somewhere that the link box acts as a repeater/booster, so if there is ever the chance to buy spares they can be daisy chained. Though can't remember if this was official or not.

Where does the extended stuff go? Does it go from the PC to the link box? So then the linkbox could be 7.5m away from the pc, repeats/boosts the signal and sends it to the headset which uses the existing cables?

I'm using 15m active cables to extend HDMI and USB to the link box in the living room with no problems - I'm using the ones recommended in the link I posted at the bottom of the previous page

Yes, I'm using 15m cables to go from my PC to the vive link box and then the standard cables in to the link box

Not sure as I've not done it myself but think you can do either side, possibly both. So instead of putting 10m on one side, if the box is a booster/repeater it'd probably make more sense to split the length and do half each side.

But as above, I've not done it myself and am just going from memory of things I've read, so do some research before splashing out. A quick google should throw up some Steam forum and Reddit threads with plenty of info on what people have tried.

I am thinking to buy Chronos to play on Vive through Revive software. as the game is quite expensive i want to know that anyone here tried it with Vive ? Is it 100% working like on Rift ?
