HTC Vive

Well it's been day 2 with the Vive and I have got to say that it really has transformed the way I think of not only just playing games, but developing them too! Now what I need is a separate trailer where it has power switches so it doesn't stay on all the time lol. Surprised the break out box doesn't have a power switch nor the headset.

I was running two 1080p monitors and a 4K screen 3 years ago on a single GTX680 without issues, except for games at 4k that is., but a GTX680 can easily power the Vive as long as you put the graphics down a bit. The recommended specs for the Vive and Rift are blown out of proportion. A friend of mine plays games on a GTX760 on his Rift without any issues at all and still dual screens at 1080p each.

Got mine setup today.

Seem to be struggling with the menu's, not sure if there's a calibration issue. It flicks around as if the scroll button the controller is having a whacky.

Aside from that, just the tutorial has shown me it's everything I wanted it to be. Just flicking those balloons around screams a tennis game, would blow wii tennis away.

if you have a wheel or flight stick try unplugging them

Yep.

G25 plugged in, all works fine now. I presume it'll work when it gets plugged back and reconfigured with the wheel running in behind it.

So I'm back. I just built a new PC for the Vive and a month later I dropped a can of lager into it. I hadn't finished building the PC and had the side of the case off. Luckily only the mobo was killed. So I used that with the missus to get a new case and a MSI M5 motherboard. So what's been happening in the world of VR. Still building the PC so I won't be connecting my Vive until I've finished that. But I'm thinking of Project Cars, I'm loving Need For Speed on the Xbox One so will it be worth a buy?

This is why I don't have any drinks near my pc - just not worth the risk.

I'm not a much of a racing game fan but some of these games are tempting me as they look so much fun in VR.

Hi guys, I've had my vive for a while now and love it. But the bluetooth has never worked - not really bothered me until I actually realised there was separate vive software that enabled you to get notifications on your phone, and the base station power management is pretty cool too.

What's weird is it works, but VERY inconsistently. Generally the bluetooth will work after I reinstall the bluetooth drivers a couple of times, and reset the vive a few.. maybe. When its working, the phone pairs and the basestation's automatically power up/down. But after a system restart, I get the vive error message saying the bluetooth driver isn't working and needs to restart. I hit the restart button and nothing happens.

I've disabled my mobo bluetooth with no effect. All the firmware is up to date.

Is anyone else seeing this? I've seen a few odd posts saying their bluetooth link is a bit sketchy.
