Hugely. I had little respect for pretend martial arts fighters anyway, but lost all respect when Tenshin got his ass handed to him by Mayweather and ran off crying.
Well if they were pretend martial arts fighters then surely any half decent professional boxer could enter MMA tournaments and clean up?
I mean there are a whole variety of martial arts that people have trained in, back when the likes of UFC were in their early days various contenders from the not so effective martial arts had a go and got their asses kicked. It became quite apparent that, for example, the likes of Karate, TKD etc.. were a load of guff.
It seems that a mixture of Boxing and Muay Thai for strikes and BJJ, wrestling for grappling are rather effective. Boxing on its own perhaps isn't so much against a trained MMA fighter.
